  1. When I catch a fish I rub my worm over it ;)
  2. Buzzbait, yet I catch fish with a whopper plopper.
  3. I'll dropshot a worm, ned rig (TRD, Finesse worm or Tubez), or toss a shakey head worm. They probably weren't hungry or were highly pressured. Make a few casts, if nothing bites take off and come back later. Hopefully they become active. You could also try to anger the fish into biting by making repeated casts to tick them off. But I usually leave and try to find more active fish.
  4. Nothing gives me more joy than fishing with my son and daughter. Fishing alone allows me to concentrate more on technique. But fishing with my kids is way more fun. Fishing with them leaves me with a great sense of pride, and memories that I will always cherish. Much in the same way as it was fishing with my father. I love fishing alone, but I would rather fish with my friends or family.
  5. Ouch. Did you catch a fish on it? At least that would take some of the sting out of losing it.
  6. Dropshotting a Zoom Shakey Head Worm with a 3/16 oz weight Ned Rigged Zman Tubez with a 1/16oz to 1/8oz Jighead
  7. I like KVD Splash/Splash Jr. poppers, Megabass PopX/Popmax, and Heddon Baby or Tiny Torpedo.
  8. A Zoom 5" Shakey Head worm (RIP WEC) on a dropshot rig. A Zman Tubez on a ned rig (this saved my butt yesterday).
  9. Shimano and Daiwa. Both produce excellent quality reels. I have some Curados hitting 10+ years and they still fish like they are new.
  10. I do for the reasons Tom listed, line twist prevention. I run a 5' - 7' fluorocarbon leader (with a 7' rod).
  11. The 843C MBR 7' MH/F would be your best bet, great all around rod.

  21. I use Siege 10lb as an all around line. I use it with a TD-Z and a TD-Sol on a Megabass Flatside Special. I use it mostly for topwater, cranks, spinnerbaits and senkos (weightless). I have never had any problem with it, great line. If your fishing heavy cover or around rocks I would probably go heavier. But fishing open or along weedlines 10lb should not be a problem.
  22. Green Pumpkin/Watermelon laminate
  23. Pumpkinseed, crappie and trout (rainbow and cutthroat).
