  1. Ok, not great, but like Dave I found it interesting. But... You still need to find a girlfriend..
  2. I used my first one yesterday and love them. It turns all of my favorite plastic into a jig that is weedless. The only problem is that they are 2 for 5.99. Does anyone else make them, maybe one of our own guys?
  3. Wiley X Jakes for me.
  4. You are all welcome, guys. There have only been a few takers so far. Anyone else want it?
  5. call here Edward Medard Park, (813) 757-3802
  6. Medard is being drawn down for dam repairs starting in late November. Starting Oct 23 there will be no bag or size limits on Bass, Crappie or Bream. http://myfwc.com/NEWSROOM/09/southwest/News_09_SW_EdwardMedard.htm
  7. Most of the 35+ thousand acres looks like that. I find myself saying "man, this place looks good" all day long while I'm getting skunked... :'( and YES, Big Mike, he is the best.
  8. Where did you find a place THAT protected? I was dragging anchors around all day trying to slow down enough to flip.
  9. Send it Dave. You can play too.
  10. X2
  11. Good Idea! A photo of the report card would be great.
  12. Roger, I have been using the super speed craw (green something) behind a black/brown booyah swim jig. Swimming it through the pads just under the surface or down the boat trails closer to the bottom. Yesterdays 5 lber came north of your point, on the east side of the channel, in the mouth of one of the older boat trails that are almost grown in.
  13. That's a win for most of us more "distinguished" fishermen.
  14. From http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1255732766 is going to be given away. Some of it is getting old but it's all usable. The end of the first grading period is near for some of you guys from team pampers, so here is the deal. The first ten of you guys in school that PM me your grades and address will get some free stuff. The better the grades the more stuff you get.
  15. I had some in black/blue flake but they did not produce much this year. On the other hand the booyah swim jig with a zoom trailer has put a five pounder in the boat three weeks in a row...including today out of one of your favorite spots.
  16. After going through my boat and garage this morning, I decided that the bait monkey had attacked a few times to often. I narrowed down the 40 lbs of soft plastics and terminal tackle to this... 5 baits, 4 colors and just enough terminal tackle to rig them. I then went fishing with only the stuff in the picture and boated 12 fish in a little over 3 hours. I am now convinced that too many choices is not a good thing and I'm going to keep it simple from now on.
  17. I fish with the beavers and the Gambler ugly otter/ little otter. The Gamblers have a smaller profile but have more action and are a little cheaper.
  18. Congrats!!!! let's hope he looks like his mother.

I always fished with 12 dollar glasses from Walmart until this year. I got a pair of Wiley X Jakes for fathers day and I cant believe the difference. Cheap glasses are not optically correct and will cause extra eye strain on top of not blocking all the uv rays. I would recommend Wiley X, but regardless of what brand you choose, get a good pair of glasses. You will not be disappointed.
  20. Depends on the weather and water temps. If it's warm out and the water temps are in the 60's then use topwater. If it's not and a cold front just came through then live bait is your best bet.
  21. I only run firefox and have for years now with no problems.
  22. You will be in the LMB capital of the world for those months. Just send me a PM when you are closer to getting here and I will get you the up to date scoop. Toho and Kissimmee will be slamming in Jan and Feb but there are 400 other lakes to choose from within an hour of Orlando. FD
  23. They should. You may actually have the gps coords for the middle picture...
