  1. My buddy Pat, from NY, finally gets to go to Kissimmee with me. Through the thunder, rain and wind we boated 12 bass and 5 pickerel. Only 3 keeper bass but, all things considered, it was a pretty good day on the water.
  2. I pm'd my address on 11/23 and I don't see my name on the list. Is there an updated list that I missed?
  3. Buzzard Beach is your nearest ramp. I have caught monsters out of the Harris chain with days and days of zeros. It's a tough nut to crack. The good news is you are within an hour or so of another 400 lakes.
  4. I see people fishing out of the 301 ramp all of the time and hear about big fish. I don't fish it because of the motor size restrictions. (I would have to take the prop off of my big motor.) I do fish the Hillsborough river from the Fowler Ave ramp. 1st exit north of I-4 on I-75. Lake Thonotosassa north of I-4 at exit 10. Medard Park south of I-4 at exit 17. Lake Gibson north of I-4 at exit 33. Saddle creek and Tenoroc at I-4 exit 38. Depending on your boat size I can give you a hundred spots within 40 min of I-4/I-75
  5. Not sure where I'm going to fish on saturday but I will have an open back seat. Location depends on wind and temperature but most likely on the Kissimmee chain.
  6. pm sent with super top secret double classified fishing info.
  7. I just ordered several deep crankbaits from TW and I am going to fish offshore and learn to like it.
  8. This also eliminates any charting errors caused by you "radial turns". Seems to me if you were towing your TD, you should be able to achieve the same stability as a trolling motor mounted TD.
  9. They will be coming to you (to the bank) for the next few months. Try a buzzbait or frog.
  10. Not lucky...broke ;D I have to drive by it every time I go to the big K.
  11. Hey Rob One of my favorite spots. When the water is running you can catch hundreds within site of that bridge. Not monsters but a lot of fun. A little further north along the deep channel is where the big girls hang out. When you get some time let me know and we will go catch a few.
  12. New to me. Booyah swimming jig with a zoom super speed craw trailer. Boated hundreds of fish this year with that combo.
  13. This is one of George Welcome's pets. He lives at the west end of the center dike between the Marsh and the Farm. I see hundreds of gators every year and this guy was at least 12 feet. We had a short lived disagreement about whos fishing spot I was on. I caught a 2 pounder and he chased it almost to the boat. The closer he got, the smaller my 21' boat seemed. He won, I left.
  14. of ALL times is me. I suck. Absolutely horrible. If you were on my team at the beginning of the season chances are you are on the IR or have been released. Thanks Matt. There was not enough hopelessness and despair in my football life being a Buccaneer fan. I appreciate you letting me join your league and getting my weekly dose of humility.
  15. Where is it? How much is a lease? How are the ramps and facilities?
  16. Everything you need to know about the Harris Chain http://www.lakecountybass.com/ Call and talk to capt Phil. His number is on the contact page. He is a retired guide and helped me find fish just by talking to him about patterns over the phone. If you decided to come a little further south and hit the Kissimmee chain I can help there, but Harris is a little north of my range.
  17. thanks for translating Matt, but I still have one question. Why?
  18. Finally we are going to get a cold front. With lows in the 40s for a few days the water should cool off and the fishing heat up. I can't wait for Friday to get here but I need to find my fishing shoes. We have fished in shorts and flip flops since before we moved (in June) and I have not unpacked all of my misc garage boxes.
  19. There is a lake I fish a lot where the J-11 rapala is the choice of bait for bass and gar. They will tear up a paint job in a hurry. I also caught a 8 lb catfish last spring on a 8a bomber firetiger. He had both trebles in both lips. It took forever to get that bait back without killing the fish.
  20. If someone asks, I always tell the truth, down to baits and pattern. I have had a huge amount of help from others so I figure it's my duty to help someone else. Plus I fish out of a ramp where you can fish nearly 100K acres so it's not likely they will ever get within a half mile of my spots anyway.
  21. In my college days, before most of team pampers was born, OMB was around 6 dollars a case. We drank so much of that crap that I can hardly touch a beer at all now. 7 and 7 is my preferred adult beverage now.
  22. The Summit ramp is great, but the canal to Eloise is shallow. You can probably still get through however the canal to Winterset is blocked by construction. If you want to fish Lulu, you have to walk. The canals from Shipp and Eloise are both dry.
  23. Roger, New ramps and or docks on Gibson, Hartridge, Cannon, Shipp, Pansy, Summit and Alfred that I have seen. I have not been on the North chain but I will check it out for you.
