That's the only way to fish Kissimmee in the summer. Sharpen the blades on your trolling motor and plow on in.

40 lbs should be more than enough. Batteries are the important part. I use Walmart Everstart Maxx and never have had a problem.

Big lizard and frogs have landed little guys but a spinner bait in Kissimmee a few years ago got a 4 footer.

I added to my Allstate Auto and have not had an issue and it seems to be cheaper than most.

X2 - I fish 100,000 acres (toho, cypress, hatch, and kissimmee) and use it to eliminate water mostly, to tell how hard the bottom is and find the outside edges of the submerged grass.

A 5 year freshwater is $79 plus $5 for a hard card (credit card style) and I buy them online. The wife and I both have the hard cards.

I would be camped out in the east end of goblets in the pads. Swimming jig green/brown or a lizard or maybe a frog. Should be fun on Sat ahead of the front.

Kissimmee bass seem to prefer classic rock. I have a mp3 player with a zipper pouch speaker set that my wife got me from bed, bath and beyond for about 20 bucks. I like a little soft music when I fish alone. It keeps me from talking to myself.

Hey, for the Minnesota guys, opening season is not until the 28th of May. How about we postpone the ending just one week; say june 7th? Gives the Minnesotans 3 days, and unfortunately i dont head off there till the 30th. Food for thought. under consideration

One power pole will stop you from moving forward or backwards. Two will stop the bow from swinging left or right. I suppose if you are fishing for a living, then it really matters. I use a stick it anchor pin ($80) and it works fine for me.

In 2008 I started a contest for the largest bass relative to your state record and it's that time of year again. We are starting a little earlier this year to give the southern guys a shot at the end of the spawn and going to run through the end of May for you northern folks. So if you guys are ready then let's get signed up. If you want to play, then all you have to do is declare your intention to get whipped by us Florida guys this year. I know I said that last time, maybe it will come true one year. This contest will run from daylight on March 15th through dark on June 12th. Anyone who has posted to this thread by midnight on March 14th is eligible to play. Prizes to be determined at a later date. Although I heard a rumor that if the winning fish is caught on and photographed with a megastrike bait, then there will be bonus prizes. RULES 1. This is for FUN... 2. Any Black Bass species with a state record is eligible. You must have submitted your entry prior to midnight March 14, 2011. 3. This contest runs from daybreak on March 15th, 2011 to sunset on June 12, 2011. 4. Artificial bait ONLY. If you are sight fishing, the fish must be hooked inside the mouth. The ipods have software in them that prevents you from using Napster 2 Go. You can buy individual tracks from Napster but that is no different than buying them from itunes.
