  1. I caught a 5 pounder but in Florida that's not big enough to even bother with the math.
  2. That's pretty sorry. I don't cut mine but I have a JOB.
  3. There will be no turning of cranks of any kind on this roadtrip.
  4. This is the place to show your pictures and calculations. If you qualified, then let the posting and smack talk begin. If you are not sure if you are qualified, then you are NOT and shall be cast into the gorge of eternal peril. If you can't figure out what this is all about then go here and see what you missed out on. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/115806-state-vs-state-episode-5/
  5. We still shoot but the golf clubs have been idle for 10 years and the mountain bike has more dust on it than dirt.
  6. NONE SHALL PASS What......is your favorite color? YOU English PIG DOG. IT's just a flesh wound. I hear my teens using these with their friends, pause, sniffle, I am so proud of them.
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ll9xIPtelUY "and now for something completely different"? I can't believe you so called Python fans did not pick up on that. Even my teenagers know that. Of course I have force fed them Python since they could walk. The Grail is required watching at least once a year. We have 2 copies of the DVD. One at home and one in the RV.
  8. I thought it was something completely different than that.
  9. I'm glad I don't know what that means.
  10. Standard Frog Toggs will keep you dry for about 4 hours of constant rain. The FT Toad Skins are good for about 6. I have both and have fished in some nasty stuff and stayed dry most of the day.
  11. Yes there will be a new thread posted in the next few days.
  12. Major League Fishing period com The first episode is free. The rest are about 3 dollars each or 15 for all seven. This episode the zone they are fishing is the North West section. Ish was fishing in the Henderson canal for a little while. Everything they fished was water that Tommy and I fished last month. They caught more fish but it was filmed in the fall. They were not fishing the worst cold front of the year in 30 degree air temps and 30 mph winds. I can't wait for them to fish the SW section. Beautiful cypress in 5 ft of water and I have never boated a fish out of there.
  13. Yep, that seat will probably be open in the am. What we will do is sell information to anyone who donates $5 to Tackle the Storm. $20 if you want accurate info.
  14. Last night I watched the Major League Fishing webisode from day one at Istokpoga. That 2.5 hours is exactly how, where, when and why for Florida fishing. It is exactly how I have fished for a decade now and even I learned several things. If you don't care for the format - does not matter And yes, Ish is annoying But it is the most descriptive and concise education you will ever get. I can't wait for the next episode.
  15. Plus... While ya'll are enjoying the scenery along the interstate or eating airplane food on Wednesday, Nicole and I will be on the water with a guide so that information will be available on Thursday morning for a small fee.
  16. Yep, Edwin was fishing "my" tree and Ish was in "your" canal.
  17. I think you may have hit the nail on the head. I see way to many of these "bucket fishermen" threads. The underlying tone in many of these sounds like " I C&R so I am better than you". No one ever comes right out and says that, but that's what is sounds like me. And I can't understand what the statement "they look like immigrants" has to do with anything. I practice C&R 99 percent of the time. I take small fish out of fish management areas (because that is what the FMA is for) or I'll keep a fish that will most likely die if released. If I see someone obviously not following the rules then I notify my local FWC office and let them handle it. I don't have a badge and I'm not a Judge so it's not up to me to get in the middle of it.
  18. I have fished about a hundred lakes over the last 10 years and there is one, the closest one to my house, that I have not caught a fish out of. I have lots of choices but I keep going back to this one every few months just out of pride. I will catch a fish out of it. Keep fishing yours until you catch at least one. Then you can "choose" to never fish it again.
  19. Watch this, it changed the way I fish.
  20. Thanks Shane that's a nice offer. But I'm going to win drop shotting a pink hula popper...
  21. See rule 6.
  22. I do what I am good at... I pay people that are good at things to do the rest. Take it in.
  23. In Florida it is generally 5 fish over 14" with only 1 over 22" creel limit. There are areas designated as "Fish Management Areas" are different. Some of these have lower overall limits and some are unlimited in fish under 14" and some are slotted. There are no possession rules in Fl that I am aware of.
  24. If I'm not in a tournament, I will tell you who, what, when, where, and how. Two kids came by me last month in a john boat and asked so I just gave them a couple of packs of what was working. Then watched one catch a 4 pounder minutes later. I only carry about 400 lbs of bait so I could spare two bags and a little knowledge. I have given spots and baits to several fellow BR members who have won tournaments with that info. And one specifically who SHOULD have won a major tournament on Kissimmee(did not listen) earlier this year and another one on Harris (forgot map) last week. Not to mention any names though gar tracker.
