  1. Thanks Dwight - I'm taking my iPad so we will be posting up picks all week.
  2. It is not the hook - onethousandone - watch your line - reel down the slack - then a solid quick upward hookset and you got em. I don't miss 1 out of 10 no matter what hook or frog.
  3. I bought the 07 Triton 20X2 in Jan of 2012 and the 03 F550 in Nov. Both used but when they are clean they make a sharp combo.
  4. Hooked and ready to roll. Leaving about 3 pm on Monday.
  5. Colors are made to catch fishermen not fish. Presentation is much more important than a specific color.
  6. Catfish, mud fish, gar, pickerel, speck, blue gill, warmouth. We almost all ways catch something other than bass. Catfish on crankbaits, mud fish and warmouth flipping, everything else will hit a rattle trap or frog.
  7. Talked to the guide I hired for Wednesday. He says the fish are up shallow in the creeks on wood and other structure. Spinnerbaits, crankbaits, jigs and texas rigged worms are the ticket this week.
  8. After careful consideration, I have decided that Dwight has been disqualified due to unsportsmanlike behavior. (see rule 6) Research showed that he once made $12 in a professional tournament and therefore his amateur status is revoked.
  9. Trolling motor is fixed and on the way back. Should be here tomorrow morning. The crew is all set to function without me. The F550 is up and running again. Everything is coming together. All little wash for the boat and truck this weekend and we are rolling out Monday afternoon with a stop outside of Atlanta. We should be on the water before dark on Tuesday. This is the 3rd one I have attempted to make and it looks like I'm actually going to get there.
  10. Thanks for the offer. If I can't get it back, Vince has the same 36 volt motor as mine and is going to loan me his. It will snap right in my bracket in 2 min.
  11. So I have not packed anything. I took the boat out last weekend only to discover I had a trolling motor issue. The local MG shop is closed for the week. The next closest one is in Orlando. My best friend warmer (vince) took it in for me on Monday. They finally got it tested today and I need some OEM module and the nearest one is in Egypt or somewhere. With overnight paid it should be here by Friday. I'm working the weekend to get a contract back on schedule so I might get it Monday. Throw it on the boat and leave on Tuesday morning.
  12. We could sacrifice an old crusty moderator...
  13. google maps + navionics ipad app + ROLO's cartography 101
  14. I have not had even 1 stove pipe on factory loads. The range I belong to now does not allow reloads so I have never fired them in the 9c
  15. Many of those subdivision canals and lakes have a "drainage easement" around them. It is not public land but an easement dedicated to the county to allow for maintenance. You are most likely trespassing by the strict letter of the law but as long as you are polite and respectful no one will care.
  16. Jerkbaits are not in my arsenal. Anyone have some recommendations on depth and color? I'm putting a TW order together.
  17. Just a reminder of the last time we fished.
  18. I'm still waiting on my tstone custom arms to arrive. I guess there is a production backlog.
  19. You are going to like it. I have had mine for 9 months and have about 1000 rounds through it. My only complaint is how different it shoots based on which magazine you have in it but that may just be me.
  20. You need to bleed it again. I put a new sea star system on my 225 Evinrude last year and it took longer to get the air out than the rest of the install. There was a specific sequence to bleeding the lines so I would look it up online and follow them precisely.
  21. Yep. big wad of braid wrapped around the shaft. Thanks Paul, you nailed it. going to take her out late this afternoon on a shake down cruise getting ready for the road trip.
  22. Did all that. It is a switch opening and closing. It is too consistent to be corrosion. The thermal protection fits the symptoms exactly.
  23. 9 days for us. We are coming in a day early.
  24. Nope. Does it have an internal high heat switch? I will check it in the morning.
  25. This morning Taylor and I went out and everything was normal for a while. Then the TM started going on and off every two seconds or so like a breaker was cycling. So I bypassed my breaker near the batteries and it worked fine for a little while then started again. It does it on momentary when you hold the switch and continuous. After a few minutes of messing around it seems to have quit completely. Any ideas before I take it off and to the MG shop and wait weeks to get it back?
