  1. Lightning rods are great for the money. As for TW get a 7 foot medium rod in your price range. Spool it with a 12 lb mono of your choice ( I like Berkeley big game), get some 30# snaps and use it for anything with treble hooks. TW and Crankbaits/jerk baits
  2. a pair of cheap kobalt scissors that came as a freebie with a tool set I bought years ago.
  3. Thanks, enjoy your singleness... On a side note, spend less time in bars and more time at BPS, at least you have something when you get home...
  4. If you could get a Cummins with an Allison transmission in a Ford body it would be perfect. Kinda like a Michele Phieffer - Kate Hudson - Angelina Jolie Mix A guy can dream can't he?
  5. High school before my two got phones. They are pretty much under lock and key at school until then.
  6. Congrats, I tried to do the same thing but. It was raining so I met Nicole (wife) at the mall for lunch (next to Dick's). We went rod shopping for me after lunch and she wound up with a new Quantum Escalade rod and matching bc reel. I got to pay for it.
  7. That's real and you can thank Mr EPA for that one. That is one of the problems with the 6.7's and all new diesels for that matter. Since the enactment of lowered NOx standards by the EPA on January 1, 2010, all of the leading heavy-duty diesel engine manufacturers have been installing the Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems on the vast majority of their engines. With this modification, a routine addition of the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is required to keep the engine running. Cooper Petroleum Inc. has acknowledged the rising demand for DEF and partnered up with its leading manufacturer AirBlueFluids Inc (ABF) to fulfill your needs for this additive. What is DEF? Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a urea-based fluid specifically engineered for diesel engines as the reducing agent in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems, which is a new vehicle technology platform for reducing NOx emissions through exhaust aftertreatment. DEF is a solution made up of purified water and 32.5 percent urea that is used as a carrying agent for the ammonia needed to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from diesel engines into nitrogen, water and carbon dioxide (CO2).
  8. I have 3 03 F550 4x4 with the 6.0. 175k miles. It has several toys like Banks exhaust, tuner, intake and so on. I have replaced injectors, fuel pump, ficm over the last two years. 03 F250 4x4 with the 7.3. 250K miles. Banks exhaust, tuner, intake. Replace one injector and fly wheel. 01 F250 4x4 with 7.3. 275K miles. Completely stock. Replaced one injector, injector harness. It's a little tired but goes everyday. In summary 2014's are $75k which is crazy. 7.3 are unstoppable but at least 11 years old now. You can find them with low miles for $15K to 20K when a retired rv'er trades up. For about 10k you can rebuild the drivetrain back to better than stock. 6.0's are readily available and cheaper than the 7.3's. With a good mechanic you can make them reliable for about $7k. EGR delete, head studs, ect. 6.4's were a problem child from the beginning and did not last long. I would stay away from them. 6.7's have a few problems but they are quiet and powerful but it will take $35+ to get in one.
  9. Caught a boat load of 3 pounders flipping the outside edge of the Kissimmee grass this weekend.
  10. well, honestly a lot like a slinky... Not very useful, But extremely entertaining. Thanks guys, you make the Everything Else section a good read after a stressful day at work. FD
  11. We were not the WORST team in the league. In fact there were six worse than us. That puts us somewhere in the middle lower third of the league... I actually like them. I like Lovie Smith and Jeff Tetford better. Playoffs this year.
  12. Yep
  13. Plastic fish trap with 3 catfish in it on Lake Istokpoga during a tourney. Fouled hooked in the back a 15 lb catfish in about 20 ft of water. It took about 30 min to finally get him to the surface. 4' Longnose Gar on a rattle trap. Got him alongside and cut the line.
  14. 90% of the time my Wife or Daughter or both are on the boat with me.
  15. 81 degrees and got sunburned yesterday. Just sayin.
  16. Dear Raider, If you choke a smurf, what color does it turn?
  17. TW gets most of my business. Now Ron will take a large portion from TW in the future. I have not used BPS for several years. If I need it now then it's Dicks or one of the small independent shops around here.
  18. I ordered one for every body.
  19. I bought two last month just because I thought they were cool. Fished one for a little bit but it was post cold front. I will try them on Sunday with our 80 degree warm up.
  20. That's awesome Lisa, thanks. Comeon guys, where is the central Florida membership? These guys paid a huge sacrifice and you benefit from it everyday. It's only $50 and a weekend on the water.
  21. Friday night - partner meeting Saturday - you are basically a guide as the vets fish against each other Saturday night banquet - not mandatory Sunday - you and your vet fish as a team against the rest of the field At least that was the format in 2012, the last time I was a boat captain. That was one of my most memorable weekends of fishing.
  22. I just signed up as a boat captain again this year. They are still short a few boats. You will be treated like you are one of the Elites. You get launched and valet parked. Drive through weigh in. It is awesome. Come out and help get a paralyzed veteran on the water. PVA.Org
