  1. Lake B is the only lake I have had much success. I normally fish the points from deeper water. I shallow crankbait or a big creature bait c-riggged. The humps I fish sitting on top and casting to deeper water and retrieving up slope. A 8a bomber in firetiger and a Bitter Bat in junbug have been the best producers. Several fish up to 6 pounds.
  2. I fish around them, usually to the deeper side. I think the fish you are seeing are baitfish and smaller sunfish.
  3. 7' med heavy - 65 lb braid -high speed reel 6.3 to 1. This is my setup for frog slinging and I lose very few fish.
  4. My dad has a garmin and loves it.

    Frog Fish

It's the sound that make the hair stand up on the back of my neck.....Even if they miss
  7. go to the local bait shop and get a 4" grapple hook. Tie a light rope to it and throw and drag from different angles. I got my wife's quantum/fenwick back on the second drag. Take your time and drag slow.

    Frog Fish

Vince - water temp was down in the low 80s. No strikes in the K grass though. Josh got his ripping the frog over submerged hydrilla patches and I got mine out of scattered pads. Nitro - If the topwater bite in not on, I may not go fishing
  9. OK, that sound great for impoundments. I have used that strategy for fishing the local phoshate pits with a lot of success. BUT will someone please translate that to natural shallow lakes. For example, Lake Kissimmee. 35K acres of MAX 18' of water where a 1' depth change takes 25-50' to find. There is NO structure other than brush piles complements of a hurricane or two that happened before I started fishing. Thanks to you guys I am starting to have some consistent success pulling the fish out of the cover off the bank but I really would like to understand how to find them elsewhere.
  10. I'm just glad they don't get to be 60 lbs.
  11. Florida Frog - Spook - 10" worm - Series 5 crankbait That is all you need here all year long

    Fishing Antenna

something about "in stores soon" and fishing antenna utility patent. not sure what it meant, but it was funny
  13. After a hot day a work, this put a smile on my face on the way home. The picture is not great but the brown car has a spinning reel for an antenna with line going to a LM coming thru the glass. PS, he was using a cream colored fluke.......texas rigged

    Frog Fish

Josh and I went out this morning for a little while in Lake Gibson slinging some cane toads. We had 2 takers with this one the biggest at 2.5 lbs.
  15. I have a couple...they swim fine and should work but no fish on them yet. I have thrown other baits on the same days I used them without much success either so I don't know either way. I do know they will wear you out if you throw them long.
  16. I fish 6-10 ABA tourneys, 8 Team Tourneys, and several Charity tourneys a year.
  17. I have found that watching The Muppets on youtube brings back memories of those days.
  18. the upper Ocklawaha Basin (Harris, Eustis, Dora) looks to be up about 8" so far. You have to have a LOT of rain North East of the turnpike and North of I-4 to get that chain up. Looks like more rain coming today.
  19. fished it many times without much success...it is not known for great bass fishing. There are hybrids and some of the best spec fishing.
  20. What lakes are you going to fish? There are a few of us here in Central Florida that can help you with specifics for a particular lake. And welcome aboard!
  21. all of this rain should cool the water, a lot, and should move the fish into shallower cover. I would fish a frog early and a shallow crank later in the day.
  22. I have done that flipping in shallow water, set the hook and out comes the lure and a 6" bass up and over the front of the boat and back into the water. BUT, it could have been a DD. Keep setting the Hook!
