With a 5 year old, 3 year old, and a wife that's 8 month's pregnant, actually finding the time to cast once is a success for me!!! My most successful fishing trips lately have been taking my kids to my in-laws pond and getting them to catch little bluegills or not catch anything. They have fun regardless. Success in my book! A fishing trip can be a success without catching anything for numerous reasons. If you like to just "experience" nature, peace and quiet, relax, have fun with friends, "destress", etc, etc, etc then just the act of fishing meets that goal and is a success. Not everyone is hypercompetitive with an eye always to the scoreboard.

He's fishing a lake that is fertilized and actively managed. Not that difficult to believe that it will produce larger than average fish. One should think before speaking

A 16 year old driving a car can be a dangerous endeavor, but no one questions that. Kids riding ATV's are dangerous. No one really questions that. How about hunting? Heck even fishing can be dangerous. How old should someone be before they can drive a boat (or just walk the shore) and fish all day by themselves? What about parents who let their kids race motorbikes, cars, etc? Jeff Gordon started racing at the age of 5! He was racing sprint races at 13! No matter which way you look at it living life is dangerous. Some people aspire to accomplish great things and given the proper training should be allowed to make and be supported in the attempt.

Why would they pay storage costs on oil out of the ground when they can store it for free in the ground? Delusion. BP won't even come CLOSE to making record profits. There is talk that they are going to suspend their dividend to free up cash to pay for the clean up.

You're setting the hook while the fish only has the tail of the worm in its mouth. So, you're basically playing tug of war with the fish and the weakest link in that chain is the plastic bait. If they're only hitting the tail end then you should try and change color/size/speed until they completely commit to eating the bait.

I agree with that. Its alot easier to cap at less then 1500ft then 5k ft. Is it? They'd still be using ROV's as 1500 feet is an INCREDIBLY deep dive for a person.
