  1. I like running, but with work and the kids don't have time to really do it much anymore. Hopefully, that will change soon and I'll be able to get back into it.
  2. If only these were mop jigs. I can get wire tied jigs from Siebert for $3 each. If I buy the 25 pack from this site, I'm paying 3.32 each. On a single jig, which would I pay 50% more to buy from here? Their "team pricing" better be good. I can get Mop jigs from Siebert for $3.70 each too. $3.95 with the best hooks.
  3. I've watched about an hour's worth of football today and have seen two different players get knocked out. A Patriots receivers and Reskins special teams guy. My nephew plays high school ball and he's had two MAJOR injuries. The first was a ruptured spleen and punctured lung. The second was an ACL tear. For all those people talking about soccer injuries, those aren't the same. Football isn't going to be an option for my two sons. The first one shows no interest anyways so I dodged that one. My second may show interest but he's only three so I've got some time to steer him away from it.
  4. The difference is that we didn't "diagnose" half of the concussions we do now back.... The concussions happened, people were just told to "walk it off".
  5. Nope. No football. Everyone gets to weight the risks/rewards for each activity and football doesn't even come close to making the grade.
  6. The IL construction crews replaced 88 (literally the entire road through the suburbs) and since they screwed it up the first time, they got paid to do it all over again! Now I'm dealing with construction so they can raise the height of the median barrier by like 6 inches on 355. Last year they did a big stretch of that and this year they're continuing it. What's the point of that?!?! If people are complaining of the lights from the traffic on the other side of the road then A) tell the to shut up or install the green "blinders" that I've seen them use during construction times on top of the median barrier. A 6 inch increase in the height of that barrier does nothing.
  7. Traffic actually moves more efficiently if you use the lane space provided. There is no reason to line up in one lane for a mile. Just make two lines that are each a half mile long and alternatively merge in. Then you only have to deal with people driving on the shoulder to pass the traffic. It doesn't make any sense to have one long line when you can still drive in two lanes.
  8. I like the Silver/Black head for skirt color like the one you posted. It's a really cool color.
  9. Years ago I had the same question. The answer was no it wasn't worth it. Found a new job and was much happier being at home with the family than fighting my way through airports.
  10. You should try beer that's been aged in whiskey barrels then.
  11. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/roundball-jigheads Unlike most of the ballhead jigs, these actually have good hooks
  12. I love Siebert jigs. They're all I fish. Sadly, I haven't been fishing much in the past year or so, but hopefully this year I can reverse that trend.
  13. Now that's stocking up!
  14. What this really boils down to is that everyone has their own color and brand preferences. Each brand has its own specific traits and are not exact copies of each other. The senko has been copied by everyone and each brand is a bit different. Do those differences matter? Sometimes they do, and sometimes they don't. Just like very slight differences in color matter (sometimes). If you like the brand and color that you fish then fish it. If you want to spend the money on name brand stuff then do it. But, if you're going to argue about it then realize that you're going to just look silly. What you should be talking about is when to use a high action trailer vs a low action trailer or when to use a big trailer vs a smaller one. Arguing about a rage chunk vs a paca chunk is like arguing about watermelon with black flake vs watermelon candy.
  15. Siebert jigs are the only ones that I buy. It's very rare that I can get high quality, low prices, and great service all in one product, but these jigs have it all. Also, if you have a specific color scheme in mind, he'll make it for you.
  16. I use Big Game and have never had any issues. My guess is that your backlashes damaged the line and caused your problems. If you respool you'll probably be just fine.
  17. Been with AT&T since '99. It was Ameritech, then Cingular, then AT&T. If it were me, I'd talk to people around me who have both AT&T and Verizon to make sure that there are no coverage issues around you or where you typically work. Some carriers still have localized coverage problems and it would suck to get stuck in a 2 year contract with a carrier that has coverage problems where you use the phone the most.
  18. My car has issues with the gas guage. I can drive 150 miles and use up 1/8 of a tank and the next 200 miles uses the rest (7/8). I need to get it fixed (still under warranty, but have been too lazy).
  19. I don't think it's that bad either, but it is expensive when you can get a 12 pack of the cheap lager for the same price!
  20. The top beer on my list is a Black Rye IPA. Best beer that I've ever had (dark, spicy, and hoppy). Expensive though, I think it's like $7 for a 22oz bottle. http://www.firestonebeer.com/beers/products/wookey-jack-April-2012 And Goose Island was bought out by one of the big brewers. I'm over them.
  21. Two Brothers is a small microbrewery in the Chicago suburbs. I'm not sure what kind of distribution they have. You probably won't be able to get it.
  22. He probably likes Belgians then. Completely different style that focuses more on the yeast than the hops. American IPA's are hopped more than pretty much anything in Europe. They're a totally different style of beer and some people hate them. Many like them though. There are certain styles that I can't stand. French farmhouse ales, dortmunders, etc. Gross. IPA's are good, but so are doubles and triples and strong golden ales.
  23. Rye IPAs are good! Two Brothers has one (Caine and Ebel, I think) that is very good. Have you tried Sam Adams Hopology mixed 12pack? Some good beers in there.
  24. Firestone Wookey Jack and Double Jack Sam Adams Black Lager Dogfish Head 60 Minute Goose Island Bourbon Barrel Stout I also make my own beer and some of those have turned out great. There are a ton more microbrews that are excellent. Six Point, Two Brothers, Three Floyds, and on and on all make great stuff. I can't even drink the Bud/Miller/Coors stuff anymore.
  25. What's Apple going to do next to justify it's valuation? They need to come up with the next generation product or they're severely overvalued.
