  1. Just got my flyer. Good price, might have to get me another. Heck, I gave 700.00 for a used one four weeks ago. Mine did, however, have the HDSI transducer off the larger unit with it.
  2. If it's a new gun, no. Some ranges rent guns, some don't. All around here that rent require that you show you are familiar with and know how to handle one before they will rent it though.
  3. Unfortunately, that's not likely.
  4. Funny how you can feel like hell, but when it comes time to load up and hit the water everything kinda settles down.
  5. Other than a glass of wine every year during the holidays, have not touched a drop of alcohol in 35 years. Nothing against it and if i was ever in the right place at the right time would not hesitate to down a shot of Crown or Jack. Just no desire to.
  6. Making myself a personal sticky to never P--s you off. LOL.
  7. I got some pills and patches for my back you could try. Guarantee you won't feel a thing and can stand in the bow all day,,,Well maybe not..
  8. Thanks, was wondering when you would pop up. Was not much weight, but considering what everyone else did i didn't complain. This was the first time in 6 weeks being on the water. finally got my mother straightened out so it won't be that long again. Will hollar at you before i take the next trip up.

  10. There are rifles that shoot pistol ammo, so that's not true. Yes, it is true. You have to be 21 to purchase pistol ammo. Jack, I have the PT145 and my wife carries the PT140 (hers has the stainless slide). I love my Taurus pistols, wouldnt trust my life with one if I wasn't confident with it. I also just put a Ruger GP100 on lay away at work. Will be picking it up in a week. Man, speedbead, that's a big gun for a woman. Packs a decent punch when you pull the trigger. My wife does not like the recoil, so we put a dainty .380 in her hand. Was not sure about it until i took it to the range. Really like the way it shoots. I also have the Springfield XD40, that i like. You ought to see her group center mass shots with that 40. Pops a head shot just to show off sometimes. My wife is a CO in a prison. Dainty she aint. ;D And OHIO, like Dan I work at an FFL dealer. Like he said, if I think you are there to buy PISTOL ammo then you won't be buying it. I would rather turn someone away than sell to an underage person. That explains it. My wife's group centerings are a little loose. Like you want to be directly behind her while she's at it, or outside in the truck. LOL.
  11. you have a ride here. sent you a pm.
  12. Check out the Ruger LCP before buying the Keltec for a CCW. I was set on a keltec until a buddy let me shoot the keltec and the LCP side by side. Just a suggestion. Been considering adding a Keltec to my group. Please let me know what you didn't like about it.

  14. Man, i thought he wanted to just fix his powerhead and get back on the water. Could of fooled me though.
  15. Here you go...Jerk bait on the left.
  16. It's very simple to silence a trap or any of the other rattling lipless baits. Get a drill, drill two holes, one in front of the front treble, and another hole behind the front treble. Very important to drill both holes. you have problems getting the glue in without the second hole to allow air relief. After you have put the glue in be sure to hang the lure from the rear treble(Head down) so the rattles(Weight) are positioned lure head forward. This will keep the bait with a head forward weight. close the holes with Marinetex. I took a trap apart to get the correct location for the drill holes. the traps do not have two separate chambers, just two sections front and rear connected by a narrow tunnel. Takes less than five minutes start to finish. Be sure to let them dry completely. FYI, I use super glue for the inside chamber. Good luck.
  17. Again he is right on. A competent employee of an auto machine shop can/will screw up an outboard block.
  18. Tarus 40 cal. semiauto, plenty more to go with it.
  19. Thanks, Catt, will check it out and let you know.
  20. Catt, I think I know the hump you are referring to. Coming out of the creek it will be about 100 yards to your right(South) at about the second bouy coming out of the pocket. If it is this one, it was showing. Had a lot of grass on it and had a hogback running to the point behind it. Caught nothing but smaller kentucky bass off of it. Just about a foot of water over the top and had grass completely encircling it. The hogback also was covered with grass. There is a major drop off the north/main lake side of it.
  21. good job, it was a tough day out on the bend.
  22. Not in that area. The wind was out of the NW so we were protected. Talked to a couple of guys that had run from just north of lowes creek. The passenger was still wide eyed. The boater said it was awful over on the louisiana side. One look at the nonboater told the whole story.
  23. Nope, but the points run a long way out into the lake before the grass disappears. I caught fish off both of those points and around the southern most point there is a pocket that I culled my two smallest fish from. That's the farthest i got from the ramp. Just could not see making a move.
  24. X2 on the above post. Just rebuilding the powerhead won't do it. You must find/fix the problem that caused the failure.
