  1. I have a Tatula, love it but I don't know how it would hold up frogging, plastic gears inside.
  2. Bass pro, Cabelas, both sell plastic oil mixture bottles with the mixture for the amount of gas you put in your tank, just read the bottle and add the oil
  3. I use braid and a 2 or 3 foot leader of flurocarbon uni to uni knot and never had a problem. And even more sensative
  4. How bout does anyone know were I can get this checked out besides Hummingbird they want Like $170.00 to look at it. Be nice if it was close by. Thanks Joe Turnersville area NJ
  5. I have one I just put one on my boat, I had to buy a transducer and a GPS antenna. The FF works fine but the GPS test keeps saying GPS unconnected. I checked with Hummingbird and the Antenna is correct. The AS-GR16 antenna came with a short Y wire that I did not use. I just ran the wire from the antenna to the back of the unit. Do I need something else to get this working? Thanks Joe
  6. You can stop most if this by casting as far as you can in your back yard, now pull out another 10 feet of line, now cut about a 1.5 inch piece of electric tape and put it on the spool, then reel in your line. The backlash we'll never go pass the tape. Good Luck Joe
  7. I own 3 Reese rods, $59.99 I'd Take all I could get.
  8. It would probably make a better rod than it would a jig ;D I know, I seen that
  9. Been using the 7'9" for jigs, I like it, I just suck at fishing jigs.
  10. Do you think this rod would make a good Jig? Thanks Joe
  11. I haven't been out since I had the problem, I do have a tach, I just wasn't watching it, I will next time. The 85hp Johnson I had on the boat is a 1975 not a 1987 but that pushed my boat 32mph with the SS13 X 19 prop, it's the only other prop I have except for the 13-3/4 x 15 that's on there now. I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks Again Joe
  12. I had a 85hp Johnson on this boat with a 13 X19 prop that I busted up, I got this 13-3/4 X 15 for $10.00 at a yard sale, it push my boat around 30mph. The 115 Evinrude was my sons motor, I have a SS 13 X 19 I'm going to try. According to Michigan Wheel it should have a 13 X 19, I'm trying all the free things first, I have a tach on my boat but I wasn't watching it, I will next time I'm out. Joe
  13. Sorry, say you get on WOT to get a hole shot, you know how the motor screams and then you get on plane back it off and it sort of just Hummms. Mine will humm at 1/2 throttle and scream at WOT but doesn't go any faster.
  14. 18.5' Bassboat, 1974 Evinrue 115HP, 13-3/4X 15 Aluminum prop, The boats gets on plane supper quick and at about 1/2 throttle it will cruise on plane at about 20mph if I go WOT it just makes more noise but doesn't go any faster, every now and then it seems to kick in, sound better and begins to pick up speed and then gets louder and slows down. It also sounds like a slight miss when its running loud. Plugs are good, compressing good. Thanks Joe
  15. Got it, I used the T/T switch from the back of the boat, the switch was already hot, ran red from T/T to up green to down hot in the middle and a separate ground, from there I hooked everything to throttle switch. Working great Thanks Joe
  16. He's been good to me in the past and present
  17. Way2slow, yu da man, I will check this out. Thanks Joe
  18. I got it working but not correctly, if I run wires from the battery it works fine, up and down real quick, now if I use the wires in the boat for tilt/trim it works but very very slow.
  19. Thanks Way2slow, great info, I have one of our electricians from work stopping over to look at it. Thanks Again Joe
