  6. Wow, awesome work out there fellas. Dan, congrats on the new notch on your belt.
  7. That was an entertaining write up, nice fish!
  8. Sea gull on a Gotcha plug.
  9. Agreed, thats why i hit up the bol, so i can combine it all. And, i think if they brought one more item to the menu, it would be a bit better. Perhaps a fish taco. Can't believe we are still going on about this, haha. ;D Jay, just saw your post ^^ Sorry man, i can't make that. Basically Mon-Fri and most Saturday half days are not good for me. Sux i know.
  10. We'll get out there soon Kevin! I'm busy this weekend, but how bout next? It was cool to finally meet you the other night. Yea man, it was good meeting you also. I forgot that you hit up Fountainhead frequently. You definitely need to get me out there one day. I'm down for next weekend. PM me
  11. Hahah, Jay you have good taste my man, our orders are almost the same! I hear about that food man. Sometimes things can get rough in a without notice I wish i could get out there sometimes during the week with you, unfortunately my schedule does not allow. > We'll get up one day soon though. Dan, I think NewAngler summed up the thought pretty well. ;D
  12. Nice job Purpleworm. Thats a place i've been wanting to hit for some time now. Looks like you guys were right up in that grass.
  13. Walleye Chaser, nice fish, especially that smallie. I forgot that they are in there! ;D In regards to the conversation taking place. I really cut my teeth there, fishing it since I was about 6 or 7 (i'm 30 now) and have watched a very odd evolution take place there. Dan is correct in the fact that is now quite a nice eco-system, and it should be protected as much as possible. It was nearly overrun by trash, 4 wheeling guys, and inconsiderate people in general. I personally believe its about to get overfished once again with the new neighborhoods popping up all around the immediate area. Oh and Red Bear, I understand your point, and agree to some extent, but I doubt anything will be done to clear the shoreline anytime soon.
  14. Wow, Jay, nice work out there! I had no luck on the top last time I was out. I think it was the Chipotle gave you the base you needed to slay those fish! Double-Chicken bol/fajita/no beans/pico/cheese/lettuce with a lil bit of the green sauce is the food of champions! Sorry, its lunch time, and I'm hungry as hell.
  15. Nice fish dude!
  16. What a beast ! Did you land it from the shore? What did you catch her on?
  17. Thanks for the great comments fellas.
  18. ^ what he said! Burke is very tough. Nice work man.
  19. Thanks Fellas. Raynman, I was using 6" Watermelon/flake on 4/0 Red Gamakatsu EWG. I must say, I'm really sold on the 6" version of this lure Andrew...you are too much. I know that you wanted to go with me, but I barely have permission as it is. Sorry bud
  20. Went out yesterday in the evening to a private lake out in Thornburg with my friend Jay. Well usually we do somewhat well here but haven't really caught anything of size. I landed 10 on 5"Senkos and Spinners, and he landed around the same. They were all dinks, nothing real picture worthy. Well, as I was getting ready to pack it up, and we got off the boat, I said to myself, "lets give this 6" Senko one more try..." well again a foot off the shoreline, this beast nailed me and took me for a short ride. I actually thought I was snagged till she started peeling drag. 6lb 3oz was the verdict, though she seems bigger to me. Either way this is my largest documented bass, and it was well worth the time out. Hope you guys are catching.
  21. Nice work out there Allyn. those are all FAT healthy fish . Way to go on the swimbait. I must learn to use it this year.
  22. Totally forgot about this post! thanks for the comments everyone. i hope everyone is catching some fish also. Allyn, you hitting the water these days? Where about are you? Maybe we can meet up soon. Jay, you too, we MUST hammer out a plan in between raising these kids. Holler at me on PM fellas, lets try and do something. Okrod, what did you end up doing with the turtle in the garage? I would have freaked.
  23. Yea I knew I was being somewhat conservative on the numbers. I caught all of my fish on Senko 5" Pumpkin/black flake, and Mepps#5 Black Fury White/Black. We also lost quite a number of fish as well. Certainly a memorable outing, that I learned a lot from. Wish i did get a pic of that carp, it was a least 4ft long. We also saw huge Swan that was not very able to take off from the water due to its size, haha. Beautiful bird though. Andrew you are correct. That fish was sitting about 1 foot off of the shoreline, in about a foot of water. Crazy, I thought one of us was going to have to go in after it, but fortunately she broke herself free and I was able to do the rest.
  24. Awesome, I do that too!
  25. Mudkart, yea, we were having a little fun with it. He was pretty upset ;D Rondef, I was using a 6 inch Senko. Not sure of the color name, it was dark green. Andrew actually gave it to me. I've already ordered up a few packs Thanks guys.
