  1. No such thing. Unless you only throw one size lure, making the same distance cast every time, no 1 set-up is best. If you are fishing a narrow, tree-lined canal, with a 1/4 oz. s/b8, a 6'm spin rod with 8# test would be easier, more accurate, and more efficient than a 7' baitcaster with 14# test. Of course this spin set up would be lousy for slow-rolling a 1 oz. in 20' of water.....
  2. It doesn't look like you use any of these lures. They all look brand-new!Take them out swimming once in a while and get them banged up a little, couple of teeth marks, etc.
  3. Steelers' losses are way worse than any team losing to the Lions. I think the lions have had 15 starters at left guard since 2000, and they are still trying to find one. Thanks Millen. Every time i see that blockhead on my t.v., i let the expletives fly. Why would anyone want to hear what this moron has to say about ANYTHING?
  4. Thanks LHC...thats it! I need one of these for my "museum"....
  5. I remember seeing this bait in their catalog (back in the 70's) but never saw one at a store. It was a jig with some kind of blade/ line tie. (not like chatterbaits or a Eaker shaker thing). Any "experienced" folks out there remember this? Was that blade "fixed" and what was it made of? Do you still have/use one? thanks....later
  6. I fish clear water most of the time, and i use both. If the water is flat (no wind), i prefer to run silent, or use soft plastics instead. On windy or cloudy days...let them hear something.
  7. Cut the wire close to the bend.
  8. You dawwg aj...that's a goodin'. Be careful out in that cold water, and catch some for me.
  9. I've fished with and still own most of the lures mentioned, (nice to hear their names again) and would like to add 2 crankbait mfrs. that some of you will remember. Crankbait Corporation's "fingerling series (3/8 to 1.5 oz. deepdivers), and Lazy Ike"s "natural series". Both were made in hard foam and had no rattles. Unfortunately, 1 of about every 3 needed tuning.
  10. That's great news G...i was a little worried for you this year. We got 2 (of 4) back that were laid off in march. Keep that train a' rollin!!!!
  11. It's addicting. Well run, great mods, and alot of good folk sharing their experiences. AND it's about bass fishing...what could be better...
  12. I'm holding out for the Kinami Flash edition. Sorry.
  13. You could also wrap some fine wire around it and then solder it.
  14. Mr. litetackle...please! NO more pics of you naked-fishing...couldn't you crop that pic a little?
  15. I thought the Bronco fans were miffed about the changes from last year and wanted the owner to show up missing...i guess they're changing their tune now...congrats to 4-0!
  16. I don't know who the Browns got in exchange, but a bucket of water would've been okay.....
  17. The pack needs lineman on BOTH sides of the line. Holy crap, i could complete a couple of passes if i had thast much time.
  18. I don't know if you are trying to be funny.. but you are. Sorry.
  19. Buy a couple of "kid" combos and the next time you see some kids fishing with junk, you could "upgrade" them on the spot. The monkey will be so confused...... (Raul is buying these?) he may need some therapy.
  20. good one, dave!.....
  21. New angler - don't worry...the skins will win this week. You are lucky if you get to wear a bag on your head... you can't at Ford field, i wanted to wear one all last year. (they claim it's for security reasons!) s.o.b.'s........
  22. Thanks Roger..short and complete. I might add that there is no time to throw a buzzbait or propbait...(for me, at least)
  23. I use a tool tote from the dollar store. I drill holes on the lip all the way around for hook hanging. I use this as my primary box that holds my favorite baits for most depth ranges. I don't have to open a box to get a lure out, and no lures go back in wet. 10 spinnerbaits, 2 topwaters, 2 rattlebaits, 4 cranks <4', about 6 cranks to 10' deep, 2-14'ers, 4-16+', 6 jigs, 3 chatterbaits, and a few assorted grubs/tubes all fit in this thing. Best $4 i ever spent on fishing gear.....
  24. Thanks for the positive replies, gents. (sorry new angler) If the Lions lost, the talk about starting Cullpepper this year would never end. LOTS of room for improvement, but it's a start.
  25. Somebody is going to be the first team to lose to the Lions, and i think it will be today. Our local paper says that Zorn is on the hotseat, and could possibly be the end of him if he loses today. I'm looking for redskin fan's opinions for this game and their coach.....later
