  1. Milky white with black flake.
  2. Frisbee.
  3. No longer live in Detroit, but in Livonia now. I fish Orchard Lk. the most, but Middle straights, Wolverine, Cedar Isl., Belleville, Sylvan, and a few others. My 16' Grumman will see lake ST. Clair a few times this year (on weekdays). A-Jay..you stay up north- we don't need you comin' down here harassing our fish.
  4. Go to the races and see what it is all about , and see what they run. As you can tell from the responces so far, you could probabally buy used and get more for the money. Most people in r/c end up upgrading and have old stuff they don't use anymore.
  5. Thanks for the replies, friends. The thought of me spending what averages out to be $50 every single week throughout the year was driving me insane. A new fridge for the mrs., a new graph, 2 batteries, and new reel coming my way. Thanks Lions., .something good can actually come of this. Go Lions!!
  6. Well I finally broke myself free of being a Lion season ticket holder for the last 35years. It was a tough decision believe it or not, I mean 35 years is a long time my friends. But , they of course HAD to raise the ticket prices again and I see no reason to keep going other than my fellow season ticket friends sitting around me. 1981 was my first season and tickets in the endzone at the Silverdome were $100. 1982 they went up to $125 per year/ per ticket. 1985 we got front row, 6 yard line tickets and they were $175. Then the beautiful new Ford Field came along, and I got to stay in the front row (even with the back endzone line) but I think the price then was around $700. Well, this season $100 more than last to make them $880 per year. I know this is cheaper than 3/4 of the league's price, but this IS THE LIONS! THEY WERE 0-16!! They have 1 home playoff win since the year I was born. 1957 fer cying out loud. I could understand increasing prices IF YOU HAD A GOOD TEAM THAT MADE THE PLAYOFFS once in awhile...sec. 111 row1 seats 1 & 2 signing out.
  7. 10# braid to spro power swivel and floro 8# leader for me...
  8. I still have a few new in package. Not a good spinnerbait by todays standards. Poor swivel and the old Hula popper - type skirt but in plastic. I hate how almost every spinnerbait on the market is the "r"type (open) line tie. I assemble my own closed-eye spinnerbaits for about $3.50 a double willow gold baladed, ball bearing swivel, with a skirt you make and a trailer hook.
  9. I have been buying lures for 45 or so years. I take pride in going to a store and coming home with NOTHING.
  10. I don't use a split ring for the line-tie, but I do add one to the back hook's split ring to get that feathered treble to hang down a little lower. Does it help? I don't know...
  11. Mcwiggles- those weren't fighting words, he's just being honest. He can't drive worth a dang, and not afraid to admit it. It takes very little skill to drive in Indiana....
  12. Not so funny for the little girl....
  13. I fish Oakland co. lakes.....
  14. I guess it depends on how much water is between the surface and the tops of the weeds. A floating crankbait would be my choice . If there is less than 3' of water above the weeds, in my opine, a rattlebait must be retrieved too fast to keep from getting hung.
  15. Who do I call about the pike that took one of mine earlier this year?
  16. I've caught hundreds of fish on a drop shot and have never gut - hooked one yet. I used to use an open hook but for the last 2 yrs. I've gone to an ewg hook.
  17. I was going to say you should fish in michigan.....
  18. Some young punk siphoned it.
  19. I'd like to see a spook lie vertical...
  20. All i see is that they're great for youngsters and folk that don't fish much. And for these people, simplicity and ease of use is a great reason for them to use one. Or anyone else for that matter. My beef was the price- under $35 for decades. I'm sorry - but you have to leave your spincaster in my truck....(just kidding)
  21. Fish topwaters if your lure leaves a bubble trail. If the shallows you're fishing have carp milling around, go find another area to fish.
  22. I use the pencil type. I d/s vertically and horizontally, and a slightly bent weight will force it to track straighter on retrieve.....
  23. You make rubber baits?
  24. Lets not forget that "way back when" players were about 2/3 the size they are now. 240# you were a "big" lineman. Now you are a rb, a small lb, or if you are tall, a te. Today they could literally knock your head off, and you need some protection. Tough work if you can get it...
  25. It's like anything else , it's what works for you. I have been using a 6/6 ml for the last couple of years, and it works. I was going to get the Veritas 6/9 ml this winter to replace it, but i thought it felt too stiff...
