This year I have tried them fishing wacky rigged and really liked the action and look. I expect next year to use these more than senko type baits wacky rigged. O ring placement and nail wts. can greatly change the action and color selections are great. It looks a lot more natural than a stickbait.
Spinnerbaits, cranks (after removing split ring) (unless line tie is sunk into lip) jerks , rattle, bladebaits, bladed jigs, scroungers, buzzbaits. All jigs, soft plastics, and topwaters I tie direct. Works for me...
Knowing your and your boats ability/ limitations would decrease a lot of danger, but accidents can happen without fault. Way2slo: I would guess that 100% of people that have a 20'/250hp rig is not their first boat....
That is the downside of airbrush painting - the clean-out between colors. It would make me wish I was painting a dozen at a time. And I really don't need a dozen of anything (the same color) unless it were jigheads. It is fun painting though...
Tr46..there is a good reason power loading is illegal at some ramps up here in the north. It blows out the lake bottom behind the cement slab, and if you back down too far, your axle falls into the abyss, making it Very difficult to pop that trailer back on the ramp. Probabally impossible with a tandem axle trailer...
That is a silly question. I assume you meant floating or sinking. Elaztech , "trick" worms, or custom poured that say floating. All others sink at various speeds.
Don't be afraid Arlo...weeds will gather at the line tie before they get to the trailer hook...and free - swinging is kind of a misnomer. It really doesn't, it basically stays in - line with the main hook anyways.
I want glasses that show whatever is on my graph at the moment, and could scroll / change screens. (Voice activated} Might as well be able to work troll motor with said glasses also...
If I were a young man , I would get into pouring my own plastics or jigs. At 62, I just wouldn't get my $$ worth. I don't need any color that is not commercially available and if I need jigheads I just buy them. Soft plastic pouring looks like SO MUCH FUN though...
Sorry to hear that Tom..thoughts your way. When I was under 25 or so - I liked to fish with dad or with friends. Although I never fished tourneys, I watched them on tv., and unfortunately. none of my friends were into it as much as I was. From25 to 55 I preferred to fish by myself or with someone new to fishing. Now i'm back to wanting to fish with someone and usually do.
