  1. I put my boat to sleep today. This year was way better for me than last year. My outboard behaved, and i got to fish with a friend that turned me on to firecraw bladed jigs that he makes . (some may know who i'm talking about) Clear water and that dang color should not work (in my mind), but it has all season long. Last sunday was my last time out, watrer temps 48*, and i caught a beautiful 18.25", 3.6# smallie in 14 fow on a blade bait. Nice way to end the season. Now the hard part...4.5 months until i can go again.
  2. Took the mrs. out sat., could not get the o/b trim to work. I launched anyway and with the breeze limiting where i could go (comfortably) i zeroed. Got up this morning, turned a screw on the trim/tilt and heard fluid flow. It works! And today nicer than yesterday, i went out and caught 1 smallie (18.25", 3.6#) on a bladebait in 14 fow. Saw 2 bigguns shallow and couldn't get them to bite. In fact, they swam away. I can call it quits now . 48 degree water.
  3. Going tommorow and maybe sunday if i do okay. I try to get out at least once in november before i'm done, and mid 60's temps in nov. is pretty sweet.
  4. Just because you remove it does not mean you have to throw it away...
  5. Sounds like you have enough already, buy something else. ?
  6. Glen..please don't make a video.
  7. Yeah, i'd like to join you, but i can't - you are too far away. Never caught a trout.
  8. no.
  9. Nothing prettier than a beat-up bait.
  10. I get unpainted bullet heads from Jann's, about the cheapest ones out there. I have tried some of the "prettier" heads that looked better to me, but i don't think the bass care. (at least i can't prove it) Most i paint, but also fish unpainted ones too. I don't slow roll spinnerbaits so a pretty head isn't important. I also like worth bb swivels.
  11. expand...
  12. RW...you are too old to be watching those videos. ?
  13. Zoom.
  14. I think dopey writes for the Northland tackle catalog!
  15. Thanks Tom for offering up some of your prized possescions (?) that you have kept for years. That must be hard to do. I have a few 40's & 50's baits, but most of mine are from the 70's & 80's. I hope you can find them a new home for someone else to enjoy. I love looking at baits, now matter how old they are.

  18. Possibly cancelling...
  19. Thank you . Lake St. Clair (this sat.) is hosting 2 tourneys. "Monster Quest" and the BIG 10 (college) championship. Somebody will be catching them. No snow yet!!!?
  20. This is really for Ajay...did you fish this last saturday? Just curious, as i don't even know if you fish tourneys or not. I was wondering if anybody heard what the winning weight was...
  21. Thanks for sharing James.
  22. Obviously not all for personal use. How / what molds have you made? Just curious...(i fished with mike today )
  23. Mine (colorado) is under the tailgate latch. (std.) I am like KY above, and use it to see my bunks when putting it back on the trailer.
  24. Well James , there is alot of info on crankbait fishing here on BR and many other websights, utube vids, etc.that can help you. You have a squarebill shallow (4') diver that floats at rest. Usually fished fast, but moderate speed with a few jerks mixed in works for me.
