My pb lm came on a Rapala super shad rap in perch. After fishing for 5 or so hours with only one dink, tied that dude on and went to flinging. I should throw that sometimes this year...

Yeah, i regretted not being in with him, and i won't make that mistake when either of our girls' time comes.

I needed around 8 months before i could get another dog after Jake passed away. (I told my wife i would wait 1 year.) When i took him in, i was crying so hard i couldn't speak. They knew who he was and why we took him in, i just handed him to them and went to the car.

To each their own. I like both, will watch both, and enjoy the differences without having to define which is better for me. Heck, i will watch walleye tourney coverage and i have never targetted walleye in 40 years. It's fishing, and marky likes.

Out of the 400 or so hard hard baits that i own, only 100 or so get used,and make it in the boat. About 100 are "retired" and on display, and the others are in limbo, and probabally never see the water again. I like them all. 50 years of buying and this is what you get. Of course i don't need more, but i will buy a couple every year. If i were to be limited to 1- 3700 box for hard baits for the rest of my days, i could do it, but i wouldn't want to...

Alot of info out there on d/s. More likely than not, you are not around fish.

Anise oil, coffee, garlic...of course it's not a natural smell to a bass, but it smells better than plastisol. Probabally. Maybe. To me anyways....

Well, Capt. Phil...the smallmouth up this way love a burning spinnerbait. The largemouth - not so much. For them i usually retrieve moderately with subtle to sharp jerks every couple of feet to help disguise what it is they are looking at. I have tried slow - rolling with little sucess, so i don't even bother.

I think 64mph on that 2 ton behemoth is wishful thinking... even with a 400

I was probabally 13 yrs. old the last time i had a knife in my pocket. I haven't the need.

As a teen in the 70's, i would put stock in what the "pros" were pushing. But back then, the bait choices are about 1/1000 of what they are today. Even Pass Bro Shops catalog used a full page for beetle spins. I sure wish that i kept all those catalogs...

I'm getting a headache. I would say worm or jig, but really i think a d/s rig. A d/s rig is used (at least) 90% of my outings. No other lure type comes close. (maybe a spinnerbait)

I can only fish the weekends, so it doesn't matter what the weather is before / after....i'll deal with it.
