  1. I used to use WD40 on my HO slotcar track back in the day. Kept the rails working good and put a nice shine on the plastic track. Now i just use it for keyed locks.
  2. You aint catching no 10# in my state Tom...?
  3. I'm with team9/9 with the "fishing" articles in sports afield, outdoor life, and field & stream. Never learned a thing about fishing from those mags. On occasion Uncle Homer had some content i learned from, but for the most part they were authors just trying to write something about fishing. Fishing Facts changed the world for me. Where, when, how, and they mentioned actual lures, not "surface lure" or some other generic term.
  4. Burke flexplugs, hot spots (no bb's), lazy ike crankbaits (non bannana) , skip jacks, hellbenders, waterdogs, original bombers, and most of already mentioned. I love those old lures and the just wanted to mention a few.
  5. Thanks slonezp for passing that along. That's probably it, but i must admit i was a little bummed that it wasn't what i thought i remembered. Hey..i'm 65, too many things to remember..lol
  6. It was in their catalog, could've been 25+ yrs. ago. (not custom) It reminded me of the old Tracker V18 deep v boat but had the I/O. Anyways, thanks dwight and slonezp for helping. Maybe i'm not remembering things right.
  7. It was smaller than the baron and tyee.
  8. Dang John, those are beautiful. Those would be going on the wall, not in the boat.
  9. I can't remember what year it was, but they had built a deep v, I/O bass boat. They didn't have one at the boat show (whatever year that was) , but was in the catalogue. It wasn't like the Rebel I/O fiberglass where the engine was above the rear deck, with a fiberglass cover, but just looked like it didn't have an o/b on it yet. I only recall seeing it in their catalog for 1 year. Anybody own one, fished off one, or even seen one?
  10. Allen - either you have huge hands or that is a pretty small bladebait. It IS a pretty bladebait.
  11. Still thinking about you and Dee, hammer. Hope you both are doing well.
  12. Time to start making your own skirts. Netcraft has a blue glimmer and a green glimmer that i use in most of my skirts. I am sure LPO and Boss have them also.
  13. I kinda agree, but even senkos are a buck apiece...
  14. I would just keep them. They are already paid for and you never know - down the road you might change the way or places that you currently fish. As an example in the 70's / 80's i had alot of small worms. Did not use them for years, until the dropshot rig came along. I no longer have a bunch of old, small worms...
  15. Praying for Dee and you Hammer. Stay strong.
  16. TR46-i thought you had boats...
  17. I love spinnerbaits, and they get thrown somewhere on the lake every outing. My favorite / most productive scenario is water 5 - 12 ft deep with weeds that are anywhere from 3-5' from the surface. This works in the clear waters i fish in any weather conditions - sunny or cloudy, wind or not , and mostly over the weeds, but sometimes along the edge.Of course it's not ALWAYS, but what is. I "assemble" my own from 3/8 oz. "hidden head" to std. 3/4 oz sizes. Gold willows 80% of the time, mostly white skirts, a trailer hook with no trailer. This past saturday i caught a stupid sunfish on a 3/4 oz with #4 & 4.5 blades. (in the mouth) He thought he was big, i thought he was a weed.
  18. He's not blaming them snap.
  19. Cool stuff Allen.
  20. Don't beat yourself up for going back to the same areas that you had success at. There is a reason why they were there. I have about 10 spots on "my" 500 acre lake that i want to fish every time out. Might only hit half of them during an outing though. Maybe 1/4 of the day i fish areas i usually don't. Too many times the pleasure boaters/pwc's will dictate where i can or cannot fish. I try not to let it bother me...
  21. Just saw boyd buy a custom '69 camaro for 120k. Mecum / live..
  22. my 96 50 hp trim/tilt quit late last year, would just click. 2 solenoids $17 each, and it works fine. had to add fluid too.
  23. Brian, was that the "pitcher" rumored to throw a fastball 106mph ?
  24. I have a friend with a Bullet 21xdc, and the front deck is pretty narrow for a boat that length.
