Thin Fin silver shad (shallow thin crankbait) Was the walleye ticket on my only fly-in canadian fishing trip in 1985. Spinnerbaits got the pike.

Gera, get yourself a Michigan "Atlas and Gazetteer" (DeLorme) atlas as it has boat launching icons on all lakes open to us regular folk. Oalkland co. has WAY more private lakes than public. Don't give up on Orchard .

I saw that dude last summer on a small local lake. He had an enclosed trailer that carried kayaks and stuff that had that logo plastered all over it.

I guess i'm just ignorant...i don't see any advantage of a locked - downed drag on any reel type. White is the new green !

One of my baitcasters is a Lews LFS and it works fine, but very sensitive to lure weight. Going from 5/8 to 3/8 oz. baits you will need to make adjustments, or else the "overruns" will get you. Not a problem for my various Revos though.

Not that i've tried it, but you could thread it on a swing - head jig and drag it along the bottom. (i guess thats a jig trailer...duh!
