My limit is 3 in ten min. or 1 hr, doesn't matter. Preferably with grill marks, mustard , chopped vedalia onions, and sometimes american cheese. I'll eat a coney,but not as much. Peppers and relish on a dog is never happening.

I hate to tell you but yeah, you are getting better. But i think one gets better after every time out, if you are really trying to learn or improve. Luck has something to do with it. (i think luck comes in to play more than most folks do). Congrats, pb's of anything is always fun. 1/2 - 1 oz. gold willow #4 and #5 spinnerbait is my favorite windy throw.

You should be able to cast further than you need to. I am not a fan of micro guides on a spin rod, Last year my bud bought a new rig that had that funky 2 ring guide (closest to the reel) and he couldn't cast very far. This year he removed that inner ring and distance is much better, but not near as far as my old school large guided rods.

About 15 years ago my wife's Escape had the wheels stolen one night in our driveway. (detroit) Her dealer had about 20 escapes in their back lot with the same wheels. You'd think that they would use a set of those and get us out in a day. You, my friend, would be wrong. We had to order the wheels which took three weeks, and since we both worked, she had to rent a car. Thats just messed up.

A good day fishing can come in many different packages for me. To and fro without issue, boat and equipment working as they should is a starter. I usually get out between 30 - 40 times a year and average 1 skunk a year. Those suck. I can have a good day if i catch only 3 fish IF i discover a new spot, using a technique that is either new to me, or barely used. A good day could be catching them on the same bait all day. (rare for me) Sometimes i like to catch them on as many different baits as i can. A good day could be me with a couple of dinks, as long as my guest catches them good. (also rare) 2 bass (or pike) per hour i would consider a good day.

The long skinny ones with scouped front were called pencil plugs here in michigan. In 1985 i went on a fly-in trip in Ontario and the guys i went with have all gone at least 10 times. They told me to buy a bunch of these pencil plugs and cheap daredevle spoon knock-offs. Caught nothing on those, but a spinnerbait (s) caught most of the pike, and a Thin Fin silver shad crank caught the walleyes. Unfortunately, there were no smallmouth.

Let me start by saying i dislike them. Currently, the battle for most hated (by me) is Domino's (pizza) and their stupid tots. What's better than pizza and tots? they ask . Pizza without tots. They really seem to care that french fries get delivered greasy and cold. Dominos don't even sell fries. Hunh? So ,they are up against all of those betting sites. You got your big name casinos' , plus it seems like every tom, dick, or harry has a site too. Even Sports Illistrated magazine has joined the fray. Stop it! Lets include all of the drug ones too. I need a drug to help me cope with all of 'em. There are commercials i like though. The retreivers/ Subaru ones are cute. I also like little emu wearing those sunglasses on Liberty Mutual. Capt. Phil that must be the smaller fishcake. I have a silver scale fishcake that the body is 3"long.(never used) You wouldn't think a 3" bait is big but it's as big in dia. as a quarter. I did like the dancin' eel, and liked the dancin' craw better. I have a "class" of lures that i can't get bit on. Spoons. Casting, trolling,flutter, you name it, i ain't using them. I did catch alot of bass and pike on the old Strike King Timber Buzz, but i consider that a buzzbait, and a pike stole it anyway...

powder paint and spinnerbaits don't work for me. i just paint with createx and 2 ton epoxy.
