just wonderinng what hook size you guys use, if you use and weight , and if you use a bobber or not.
and how do you tell if you get a but because its so suttle.
i love fishing for bluegill because they put up a good fight for there size. ill be using a spinning rod. what typed of bait, artifical and live bait should i use.
i have salmon eggs, rooster tails, panther martins, spoons, just wondering if any of these things would work.
thanks everybody for the information but i have some questions. I went fishing yesterday and caught some trout but i keep getting hung up in rocks and had to cut my line alot. I was getting really tired of retying on hooks all the time. I go some spinners caught up and lost 2 panther martins and a rooster tail. What can i do to stop this from happening and make my fishing experience better.
If felt like i was tying more than i was fishing.
there are many things you can use. nightcrawlers, panther martins, rooster tails, and spoons just to name a few.
for spoons i like little cleos.
when fishing these cast them upstream and reel just fast enough to keep the line tight. this will allow the inline spinners to spin.
these lures are fished on the bottom except for the little cleo which is a spoon and is fished medium depth.
Hope this helps.
i cant seem to improve my casting accuracy with my spinning gear. Im not even close to were im aiming. are there any tips you can give me about what im doing wrong or is it just alot of practice.
if i were you i wouldnt get my epoxy at cabelas. If i were you i would go to a local hobby store and pick up some water proof epoxy. That stuff looked expensive so if you buy epoxy then mix it it'll be cheaper and you'll get more.
i build model rockets and go through a ton of epoxy and thats the cheapest way. and BTW mixing epoxy isnt really that hard.
this is what i use and for making lures it should last you a while.

hi, my whole family likes to fly fish and i would like to some day to but for now all i have are some spinning rods.
Can i catch trout on a stream with a spinning rod and what would be some good baits.
i have read that alot of people use trailer hooks on their spinner baits. What is the advantage to them, can i use them on buzzbaits or anything else, and will all trailer hooks fit onto all spinnerbaits.
this is what i found. are they any good, what do you recommend.
