  1. Hey just curious is anybody fishing this tourny this year? i fished it last year and had a blast. just curious.
  2. well Guys and gals i have to say i did not win the tourny but if anybody needs help on talquin just let me know its a beautiful body of water and plenty of fish. the big fish of the tourny was 9lbs 3.6 ozs not bad several six and seven pounders were caught. all in all i had a great time i did take the 14th spot which to me is not bad considering i had never seen the lake before. but there are some good spots on it that produce everyday or atleast they did for me. any way just wanted to share my tourny and again if any one is going there soon let me know i can tell you some pretty good spots.
  3. the best thing i can tell you at this time is the bass have moved off the shallow banks because they are in the post spawn. the bass have moved to the next structure going to deeper water this is where they will rest from spawning before continueing to deeper water for the summer months. there for try larger baits but start with a slow retrieve like i stated before they are still resting from the spawn. then slowly change your retrieve speed until you find what they are looking for. and right now most of mine have been caught on a swim bait. hope that helps some let me know.
  4. Hey looking for anyone who fishes the north east corner of florida st johns, sampson, sante fe, and so on just curious thats all. trying to narrow down the field for this area. Thanks
  5. Hey Fellas: can anyone give up some info on this lake. from my previous post i do know that there are more stumps than water.... but does anyone know what is the preferred lure and any spots were i can get a quick limit?? this is for the club classic it is a two day tourney. and i have never even seen this lake other than the pics i have received from some of you. any way any help would be much appreciated thanks guys.
  6. well i have to give thanks to this forum, i was on toho this weekend for my last tournament before our classic. i received some helpful advice from several people and just want to say thankyou very much. Any way i scored a nice bag on day one from Goblets Cove enough to put me in third place going in to day two, but there is always a but the wind change made the water real cloudy so needless to say i had to move. After two hours moving around goblets cove i decided to move to cypress cove and sling a spinner bait good move on my part! my day two bag was 17LBS but it was not enough to maintain third place. but still i have no reason to complain. thanks again guys.
  7. thanks man i will do that

  14. hey guys does anyone remember a video someone posted about google earth and the overlays to help plan for a tournament or fishing trip????
  15. wow has anybody used the bomber 14 a jerk bait (clear with a black back) this thing is great in clear water. went to salt run out of lake george this past saturday and caught my limit in no time!!! to bad i found out about the lure a week late, sure could have used it in my tournament. ;D
  16. My tournament on saturday at salt run springs which is off of lake george in florida in case you were wondering. was bad bad bad. there was six tournaments going on on the same day and they all went to the springs for the sight fishing. it was a beautiful day but it was crowded, at any given time i had four to five boats within 20 feet of me trying to fish the same area, and me not being so good at sight fishing could not bag a fish for nothing. i did hook a nice one maybe four pounds but lost her in the matted grass. so nothing in the bag and a long day just to come up empty handed. oh and the official count was 136 boats in the springs..
  17. welcome aboard. what part of florida?
  18. its spawn time in florida which body of water would you choose??
  19. thats okay choose both
  20. you are on the water in the middle of winter on a cold day.. what would grab from your tackle box???
  21. i have to agree i just recently moved up to 30lb braid from 20lb myself. i cant see any other reason to go much more than that. unless you fish a lot of heavy grass or floating cabbage.
  22. Hey Man. thats a good choice in my opinion you cant go wrong with a ST Croix. that is all i use but your reel choice depends on what lure or technique you are going to use. be sure to study up on on gear ratios and compare them with you rod selection.
  23. okay this is new to me sorry. i guess i am showing how much of a rookie i am. but why do you flip the line on your reels???
  24. okay Guys and gals i need some info. what type action rod should i use when throwing a crank bait i hear alot of stuff but i am looking an overall concensus. what do you think
