today i found em suspended about 6 feet of the bottom in 12' of water...they started wacking a spinnerbait.

How difficult is it to put a lure through a loop? if its not difficult or troublesome then i am doing something wrong for sure, tough to see in diagrams, i guess it would be better to watch someone do it.

im new to the polymar knot. I just learned it for Drop Shotting. Im confused why anyone would use this for Crank baits? the loop that has to come down for the lure and multiple 3 prong hooks gotta get through it, seems rather troublesome compared to say a Cinch knot. Am i missing something?

5# = great fish, 7# = huge lunker for this area

like Sam said, i'll spend time watchin KVD dvd's and some others. i'll re-org my tackle probably every week and now that i found this place, i'll read a bunch of articles and read the stories from the guys down south still going at it on the lakes. I gotta move!

i'm in NE PAand i'm lovin it....The other day I was out throwin my senko with the Sun beatin down on me at 82 degrees and iwas just all smiles. I fear we are going straight to Winter pretty soon. Gotta get the snowblower out and tune it up, YUK!

I fish only a few basic colors myself...I try out lots of different shapes though. but , basicailly i've dwindled it down to the colors that produce for me. And thats trying to immitate the color of the forage, im not saying nothing else will work, but just not as good for me and my 4 colors

definately a year of soft plastics for me. Wacky riggin senkos or jiggin tubes on the bottom ( Senkos have caught way more fish but the Tubes have causght the bigger ones by far)...I'm stuck to the shorlines right now so i dont have to many options for fishin Cranks (even though i still buy them all the time!)

Never did this before and a lot of articles i read refer to fishing directly below the boat. Can you cast with this technique or does everything get too tangled up? thanks

I wish i liked the Strike King and Booyah baits because they are so easy to find or replace but they never run straight. i find myself always tuning them. never tried the Terminator ones and want to give the River 2 Sea brand a try as well, they look phenominal, we'll see.

Ditto on this! And its the worst when nothing was delivered so you know you have to do it again tomorrow and this takes another day away from fishing a pond by my work on my hr break.....lifes tough sometimes

i always like the Blue Fox Roland Martin Big Bass (long name!) but they dont make em anymore...Recently tried the WarEagle brand and these things run so nice and straight right out of the package....Got 2 nice bass just today on it.....So, i guess they will take over as my current favorite, Very well made and nice lookin baits Standard colors i use = White, Chart, and anything like a Green Pumpkin or Watermelon type color Single or dual Willow blade

The big deal is they are on the cover of the new Bassmaster issue. The knockoffs will be here soon enough driving the price down

Tubes, some reason i dont catch anything with anything else....chalk it up to poor technique and tubes dont need any technique i guess ?? when did fishing cross over into the porn industry??!

I've always said, i would love to see how good he does on my lakes....Its easy to see he is always on private ponds\lakes of some sort. there is never anyone else fishing or never another boat in site. My mentioning of him was total sarcasm!

I took my daughter out for panfish and brought along the GULP! earthworms. Figured we wouldnt hafta kill any worms in front of her, Anyway we caught nuthin at all. I dug out a few worms and was able to salvage the trip with a couple nice perch and bluegill. So, it certainly didnt "outfish live bait"....Another thing, i gave it another try with the catfish chunks. I got the liver\Blood chunks.....Never got a bite and should have known because when i opened the wrapper it smelled EXACTLY like the little jar of earthworm thingys. Seems like they didnt change the formula at all, just the packaging\marketing, made me mad.

Anyone tried these.....They look like they got great action in the water, and heck - Bill catches lots of Bass on his show with them so they must work right? seriously though, anyone have any luck on these or just a gimick??

i think back in the late 80's he had his original Snakebait out.....It worked great for triggering strikes but tough to get hooksets
