  3. Who makes these? I'd like to try them
  4. If this has already been covered, i apologize - didn't see it. Has anyone put one of these Motorguide Bulldog Peak Thrust Foot Control Trolling Motor on their Raider: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00269WC22/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2HESX0WY5KL3E&coliid=I2F4YUKFMZFTB4 I have an 8 footer so im not sure if there is enough room for it - that cable might get in the way of......everything. I need the foot pedal to be blue tooth!
  5. Therivermonster - great job....your going to love the rudder you made, makes a world of difference! I like your table, I have something similar for my fishfinder but always kept the little battery on the side storage area of the boat - its always in the way so im gonna see about adding that shelf.....I added measurement markings on my table so that I can quickly lay a fish down and measure it without having to get anything else out - but thats about all i've done to it haha
  6. dang! sounds like fun but im 160 miles north!....Im always catch and release so how would you do this in a tourney setting as far as live wells
  7. thanks for this! 4 Bull cranks, 4 flat bellys and 10 pivot frogs (Love these !)
  8. I bought the same boat, 1997 model in 2008 for $4000 so that seems a bit high. It has been a very good boat to me!
  9. I would never take mine on a river.....unless it was a very calm pool water type area.....The nickname says it all "Pondhoppers"
  10. Can i travel with lures? Heading to GA for a week and wanted to pack a small tackle box in my suitcase. They will not be in my carry-on bag. Just a Plano box with some Jigs, hooks, weights and Buzzbaits. And a couple separate bags of soft plastics. Will I run into any problems ? Thanks
  11. This is the same box i use with a regular backpack.....I carried around a fishing backpack with all the boxes but realised when bank fishing i only needed and used a few things. The bottom of this box has two larger sections. In one of those i keep my Spinnerbaits and the other goes to Buzzbaits....I fill the rest of the bottom with a few jigs and hollow body frogs....Top tray gets a couple Zara jr's, prop bait, Jerkbaits, hooks and weights....Couple bags of my favorite Senkos and Baby brush hogs and i'm set for all my bank fishing. If you are pretty mobile while bank fishing i think you will eventually regret anything larger
  12. Everything you described happened to me when i got my boat a couple years ago. Actually it started happening when i put a new, higher power trolling motor on. Same thing - it would start cutting out on me, i noticed the plug and wire getting extremely hot and then melted a bit into the carpet! I changed out the plug and everything but it still happened. I ended up taking out the Inline fuse by the battery and replacing it with a circuit breaker. Not a single issue since, doesnt even get hot.
  13. Our store had Perfect Plastics for $1.75 a bag.....I bought every bag of Game Hawgs they had left (14)
  14. Its my favorite bait (baby brush hogs to be precise ). Its actually the Game Hawg by strike king because i do really well with that Bama Bug color. I T-Rig with an 1/8 oz tungsten weight and just pitch at targets all day long !
  15. Gotcha, thank you for the explanation
  16. gonna try getting some hollow body swimabaits and some hard swimbaits down to them....any other recomendation? (thats if i find the school again - but the deep section of this lake is pretty small so i should find em, maybe 8-10 acres is deep water, the rest of the lake is 4-8' )
  17. That's what i was hoping it was so I fished for them but couldn't get hit (Crankbait and counting down a spinnerbait, Note: i never fish deep, this was the first time i ever sat down and scanned deep water looking for fish or structure). Yea, I have since turned down the sensitivity , is that why they are not "arches" and longer than normal ?
  18. what am i seeing here? just noise ?
  19. I need some help with this place in PA...I can catch the smaller ones but the big bite just never happens and i know they are in there..... This is the southern end where the deeper water is, up north it is all shallow - 4 to 6 ' range. Pretty small lake, 600 acres give or take. Water temp on this end is sowing in the low 80's. Consists of Largemouth. Bluegill, perch, golden shiner, pickeral and Bullhead. Where would you go and what would you throw ?
  20. T-rigged brush hog
  21. Thanks for the input everybody, Very nice Ajay, thank you for posting that !
  22. looking for a good jig for the heavily weeded lakes in my area. I feel like i'd probably catch a lot more fish if the heads and weed-guard didnt pick up so many weeds.
  23. Between this quote and Roadwarrior never having issues (i dont think ive ever had a single blade run true, even right out of the package) i'm wondering if its possible that the way i tie my knots can be throwing it off course....Since some guys run to the Right, all of mine always run to the Left. hmmm i always use the "Improved Clinch", maybe we can figure this out by with what type of knot to use
