  1. Thank you for choosing to serve our country! Good luck to you
  2. I gotta get a few things installed on my boat pretty soon and was wondering what kind of cost I was looking at having a "pro" do it.....I dont want to do it myself because i know me, i'll ruin something....I could ask some friends for help but again, I want it done right and done neatly....I need a new trolling motor installed (bow mount), gonna have a fish finder put up front and i need a new bilge pump put in (i honestly cant even get the old one out!) and maybe get the motor tuned (this will be my first full season with the boat, so if there is anything else i need checked out ? - its a 97 tracker with 40hp)
  3. i'd love to snorkel in some of the ponds i fish at but i would be freaked out if I came across Snapping turtles, eels, snakes - other than those things, i think i'd enjoy it !
  4. Some scientists got together to create a new aggressive breed of fish. They started with a coho salmon and a Walleye. They named it a Cowall Salmon but it still wasn't as aggressive as they wanted it, so they breed in a Muskie. This was the fish they wanted. The Cowallski, but now they had to teach the Pollock how to swim ! Its just a joke, no offense meant by this
  5. I think i got ya beat.....Band out of New Jersey in the early\mid nineties: The Vaginal Blood Farts uhg! Bleck!
  6. dang! where you fishin?! Once on the boat, the sneakers come off completely!
  7. i am a diehard music junky.....Over 2800 cd's 2 mp3 players and an iphone loaded up....But never once considered plugging in while fishing.
  8. Do a search on this and you will find a lot of info....This topic gets discussed every couple weeks or so....
  9. Those look just like All terrain tackle jigs
  10. you did a great job on that! That boat does look tough as nails! Eats stumps for breakfast
  11. Ike, KVD, Duckett
  12. I could be wrong, but i think it would be expensive to host all the videos for the space and bandwidth needed - as great as it would be because it is lot easier to learn something by watching it.

JJ's magic CB's Hawg Sauce Looking forward to trying the new megastrike
  14. have not tried them, saw them for the first time at Gander the other day...They had the Frog, worm and Senko...I thought they were ugly, but be interested to see if they work
  15. I dont understand..Why cant they grab and stop them? I'm glad i didnt work there, i would of tackled them thinking i was doing a good deed!
  16. i just got some nice ones from Punisherlures . com
  17. I'm hoping to get some recomendations for a unit for the front of my boat (16' Tracker).....I fish only larger ponds and small lakes with the boat so i very rarely have the motor going (once all last year, of course most of these waters are electric only) I have a small humminbird at the wheel but its really not working well and was just going to invest in a better one to work off the trolling motor since thats where im always at. I've got about $450 to spend and really dont know what would be a good one to put up there....Im guessing i wont need GPS, Color would be a good thing and a good readable screen in the sun....Any guidance is appreciated
  18. i think i got my membership package at the same time i got the first magazine
  19. X3 "I'm right handed and I cast with my right, with my right hand on the reel, and I reel with my right. I think I'm backwards but it's what I'm used to. " No worries, comes down to however you are most comfortable
  20. when is a good time to use Flouro? I'm so confused by it I never bothered trying it....Ive heard - dont use it for crankbaits = no stretch it will rip the bait out of the mouth... Then i see Edwin Evers on classic patterns say "Use flouro when crankbaiting". Dont use it for topwaters because it sinks...cant use it for worms, senkos because i throw them on spinning tackle and i use smaller reels and even in this thread its mentioned to throw it on larger spinning spools if its used on spinning tackle...Pitchin and Flippin = braid.....Guess i'll stay with mono ,lol
  21. My Gander does not have any Avids...All i have ever seen are Premieres.
  22. that makes sense but the rods i'm interested in cant be found locally to try the reel on them. It will be used for light tackle conditions: Worms, grubs, senko "You can't put a Shimano reel on a Daiwa rod " Believe me if i could afford a Cumara i would!
  23. I just picked up another Stradic 2500 (Yay!) and i need a rod for it. MY local shops (Dicks, gander, walmart) don't have anything that interests me. I am looking at 2 Daiwa choices online right now and would like some opinions\recommendations. I'm looking at the Iaconelli signature rods @ $120...I really like the looks of the foam style grip, that and just the whole handle "looks" comfortable. Next is the Daiwa Light and Tuff @ $140, I've heard good things about these.....Ive never held either one but the Ike looks more comfortable while i think the quality might be better with the L&T....Any opinions?
  24. use bluegill as bait! Or try some bluegill colored lures.......Big plastic worms will probably do good as well.
  25. I figured it would be too good to be true.....Just so many to get! EWG, straight shank, heavier flipping gauges, finesse and all the sizes! it never ends! :-/
