  1. You can also check out this thread at 135 pages long, lol
  2. Our Dicks\Field & Stream store has them right out front. Call around, you might have to take an afternoon and travel to one but it will be worth it.
  3. I could not believe how much a rudder made a difference. Absolutely mandatory for these boats!
  4. I used and had a lot of success with baby brush hogs. I had no reason to try anything different but you know how it goes - you see it in the bait shop and decide "it cant hurt". In this situation it was KVD's game hawg. They look similar enough how different could it be? Not much to me, but the fish see something because these Game hawgs outfish them by a lot for me! I wish they didnt, they cost more per pack, you get 4 baits LESS per pack and they tear up more easily... but man these things catch fish.
  5. Chatterbait or Crankbait (lipless cranks, yes), and I mean not even bites! I just cant figure those 2 out. I dedicate a bit of time each year to try and get something going with them. I've probably at least caught Pickerel on the crank but never even a bite of any kind on a Chatterbait. Tried finessey and aggressive trailers, straight retrieve, stop and go, herky jerky, bumpin into anything i can find, nothin - lol
  6. If you were to be taking it easy and fishing for sunfish or something - maybe, but not 2 guys actively Bass fishing, certainly not comfortably. I have the 8 footer and never brought anyone else out on it and couldn't imagine doing so, lol. you would have a great time by yourself though
  7. 2010 Stratos 285 XL DC with a 2006 Johnson 150. Both appear in excellent condition ( beautiful garage kept condition, including the trailer). Have not had the chance to test run it or anything yet (but that will happen) Has good lowrance electronics (i forget the exact models) and 70# minn kota trolling. Storage compartments even look almost unused! What kind of value would you put on this (being that the motor is 13 years old, but looks 1 year old) if it runs great and has good compression?
  8. trolling motor up front and a rudder in the back. world of difference!
  9. Hey There, I got that rudder from a website that is long gone , unfortunately. I think I paid about $45 for it. I've been asked about it a lot so if there is any metal fabricators out there, I can provide pics and measurements.
  10. Thats it ! Thank you very much RSmall!
  11. Thank you very much for looking, appreciate if someone can identify this badboy. I got a small pack of these from Lucky Tacklebox summer 2016 I believe. I lost my last craw and the packet while running the lake and cant remember its name!
  12. Just goes to show the different fishing styles and bodies of water we fish on...I cant understand not catching on topwater or jigs! I caught around 10 on topwater alone yesterday....But, i cannot buy a bite on crankbaits or chatterbaits and I see that other people crush with them.
  13. I'm at the point where i know what works for me in my waters. Its just maintaining/replacements now. Not to say I wont try new baits but i'll know if they fit into what I do. i used to just get everything - the monkey had me tight in his grips. And yea, I now say it all the time - I have too much tackle
  14. hey turbo, Check out this thread for a lot of great ideas with the Bass Raiders:
  15. Its weird how that works sometimes. I've never even had a bite with a chatterbait and ive been trying them for years now. Like you, i can throw a chatterbait till my arm hurts and nothing - switch to a spinnerbait ( as mentioned above - A War Eagle Finesse spinnerbait) and start tearing them up
  16. I just got the Neptune cleat loop last week, exactly what i was looking for. Works great, and only $30 as apposed to $160. Seems a lot more convenient to me as well as apposed to the Venom unit. If i come upon a spot I just grab the pole and anchor in using the cleat, dont even have to put my fishing rod down. With this unit you have to pull out the trolling motor and loosen the knob to release the anchor pole. Really good communication from the Neptune team and fast shipping - had the cleat in 3 days. http://www.shallowwateranchors.net/products.php
  17. If it is just for you, did you look at the Raider 8? Thats what i use and have no issues launching and no problem with space. I can see the 10 being an issue though for sure if i was alone.
  18. The one im using is the 5/16...I do have a handful of the 3/16 but really only use them when small pond fishing...You will clean up with smaller bass on those
  19. Spinnerbait....Moving bait so maybe not as boring as a Senko as others have said but doesnt get hung up as often as a crank and catches fish ! (probably not as many as the senko though)
  20. What brand is this? thanks
  21. War Eagle Finesse spinnerbait (Spot Remover) and LC Slender Pointer (97)
  22. I just ordered from a new place for me called Swing Oil Baits...Have not received them yet but they look nice, Mustad hooks and the price is right! $1.80 for Flippin: http://www.swingoilbaits.com/FLIPPIN-JIG-SKU-201.htm $1.65 for Football: http://www.swingoilbaits.com/FOOTBALL-JIG-SKU-128.htm .25 extra to have a rattle added
