  1. It seems to me it is an ignorant thought by people who probably know nothing about tournament fishing. Just my opinion.
  2. Confidence to me is; Knowing I have the skill and experience, knowing I have the tools, knowing I am up for the challenge, knowing I can succeed but don't always do it, and understanding that even Van Dam doesn't always hit the mark. Hit or miss fishing is the most enjoyable hobby I have. Love your time on the water.
  3. I generally figure about any bass I catch on a flashy spinner bait with a skirt is a male bass. They aren't much different than any male. If we find anything flashy and wearing a skirt we will chase it.
  4. IMHO ---- CABELAS & TACKLE WAREHOUSE RULE THE ROOST. There always has to be a #1 & a #2. In this case though there are two in first place ----- Cabelas & Tackle warehouse. Tackle Warehouse for shipping and Cabelas for in-store shopping.
  5. Mr. Bluebasser, I got a good chuckle out of your post and it brought a smile to me. I drove truck coast to coast for a lot of years and got a good mental picture of you in your pickup with a determined look of dedication pulling your boat to Grand Lake through 7 inches of snow for 5 hours with more falling at a fast rate. Oh boy, I have been there. Now don't be offended but I think we should change your forum name from Bluebasser to Blowbasser and write a song about you. Maybe the chorus could go something like this --- "he will blow through the snow just catch big moe, cause he's the Blooowbasser". Tight line Mr Bluebasser. You brought back some fond memories of being on the road. From me to you, you get the gold star for dedication.
  6. Hmmm, I wonder why what we do is called SPORT FISHING?
