I live in the KC metro area and i love bass fishin but i have kinda taken a (short) break from it cause im tired of bank fishing (no boat for me). i have been doing alot of catfishing lately at the big reservoir lakes (perry,hillsdale,clinton,pomona) and i have a few questions that maybe you guys could answer for me!! 1. on big lakes ,what is the best places to catfish ?( dam, spillway, flats, points) 2. Is using natural bait(goldfish,perch,shad, crawdads,worms) better than artificial bait (dough, stink, dip,)? 3. i am like everyone else and want to catch the big one,so what would you do to make sure you catch the BIG one? thank you for your input !! what are some other good colors for lets say pre-spawn , post- spawn, and would you say a shaky head is good to use after a cold front pushes through or when the fish are being very lathargic ?

i never use a swimbait but reading this i might just try it so....... what would you guys suggest for a newb like me???? a pre rigged like a northland mimic minnow till i get use to it or a good ol Luck ''E'' Strike Bass Magic Swimbait?

yeah use something thats gonna thump . Like the moontalker spinnerbait by BOOYAH and put a Black neon RAGE tail shad on there and that thing is gonna pound. The bass are more active at night i think. the more water you move the BETTER!! They use their LATERAL LINE on their back to sense movement and thats how they hunt at night.I love to bass fish at night. I fished more at night last year than i did during the day and caught twice as many bass too.

i fished a tournement with a guy that had two (BIGA$$) duffel bags full of tackle. Each bag weighed more than 60 lbs. He had more bait and tackle than BassPro does. But the funny thing was that he only threw 5 things that whole day. Its wierd how somethings work out like that

i was just wondering what are some good cold water soft plastics/lures and colors for bass still in their winter pattern

Im thinking about ordering okuma's guide select casting rods and nemesis baitcaster reel. I was just wondering what do you guys think about Okuma's stuff, and do you think i should get them? thanks

so is most of the lake still cold or is there only one place where the water is warm and thats by the warm water discharge?
