  1. I'm heading down that path... save yourself... resisstttt
  2. 10" powerworms are money on shakeyheads.
  3. The $400 I just dropped on *** at 1am, even though I'm broke? :-/ They lure me in with this college discount, then the baitmonkey strikes! At least now I have a PFD.
  4. I like the translated description. "as well as possible action to create a jig to make a vegetable" ;D
  5. University of Oregon here
  6. "Brokeassism" has slowed me down too. ;D
  7. I have g.loomis, all star, e21, daiwa, airrus, croix rods... As I'm starting to fish more tourneys, I do feel having such a broad range is not ideal. The feel of the rods is all over the place. Considering selling off the majority and going with daiwa/ zillions. But yet again, I don't want to part with my MBR844c GLX. :-? Reels, all daiwa except for one Curado E7. Got comfortable with the extremely low weights of the Daiwa LP's.
  8. Nice job, sure he'll love it.
  9. Nope, any of these daiwa reels are for demo. Not going to send you a steez... but not a bad selection. http://www.***.com/DemosbyVendor.html?vcode=Daiwa I've fished most of the daiwa reels, hopefully they make some other brands available. In general sounds like a great idea to me, and would give it a go if they added more reels.
  10. Looks like they just copied the demo program from their partner site tennis warehouse lol. "Enter your zip code for calculating the shipping charges. This charge includes freight in both directions - there is no additional freight charge to return the demos. The charge is based on weight and distance. You may include items other than demo racquets on your order; the portion of the freight charge to you will increase but the return portion will be unaffected."
  11. http://www.ichibantackle.com/showproductdetail.asp?productid=2186&name=ALPHAS%20ITO%20103-AI%20/%20103L%20AI%20(MEGABASS)%20[uSED]&manufacturename=DAIWA%20(TEAM%20DAIWA) Alphas Ito? 6 ounces, can find one in great condition without breaking the bank. I have one paired with my MBR844c. Line 12 / 120, 14 / 100
  12. I'd be interested in purchasing some as well
  13. That's a healthy looking fish.
  14. To cast light plastics, pitching is the way to go.
  15. How bout the Daiwa Procyon? Good looking rod for $45-50. Definitely one of the only split grips youll find at that price. http://www.daiwa.com/Rod/detail.aspx?ID=248
  16. Out of the revo and mg50, i'd choose the shimano, specially at that price. Or turn to the dark side... :-X
  17. I had a problem with Reeds about a year ago, when I ordered a Legend Tourney on sale. They charged my card, sent me an email saying the rod was shipped. I emailed them after about a week and got no response. I waited some more, when I should have just called. I finally gave them a call and they said the rod I ordered was "Out of Stock", and he offered me the Musky version which was a completely different rod with a lure rating over 1.5 ounces higher... At this point the sale was over and I didn't have the rod. I asked for a rod of equal MSRP pre-sale, and he wouldn't do it, in which case I asked for my money back, and am not going to order from them again. I would call them ASAP.
  18. I agree, that's the one i'd be fishing
  19. I have one brand new for sale, if that's the route you want to go.
  20. I sell a lot on ebay, as well as buy, and have had a good run. Like other people said, make sure to read the descriptions, and ask the seller any question you have. Don't be scared off by high shipping prices. Usually it just means the auction will end at a lower price, (not overall), and more money will go to the seller and not ebay, as ebay does not get a cut of the shipping price. If you find items ending at awkward times, they often sell for much less, as well as items with spelling errors in the title.
  21. Welcome
  22. The G.Loomis warranty is fantastic. I used it for the first time recently, and was very impressed. You can either enter your information online or over the phone, giving them your credit card info and address. They send you a brand new rod, which took only two days for me, and all you have to do is place your damaged rod in the tube they provide and slap on the prepaid shipping label also included. St. Croix has a discounted shipping program that costs $10, but you must supply the tube to ship it to the factory. I own g.loomis, st. croix, daiwa, carrot stix and all-star rods. Almost all provide great service, but for quickness and least hassle, g.loomis is the way to go.
  23. I used to slay them as a kid on a salt'n'pepper single tail grub like you described.. Can't remember what it was, but maybe it's time to pick up the grub again. Fished them on a small leadhead
  24. Curado 200E7. Handle is on the wrong side, so looks like I have an excuse to go to the tackle shop. Going to look past all of my other reels being daiwa and give it a shot.
