  1. I have at least one of every size made, but I'm usually throwing a really big one or a really small one.
  2. So like a tote? There is like a gazillion different ones from cheap basic ones to Yeti level $ ones.
  3. The E6X reminds me of the Taurus that passed for a Jaguar a while back. The IMX is a good stick and a big upgrade, enjoy.
  4. While I don't agree with the whole left handed reels for right handed anglers thing, I absolutely agree with the ergonomics of a reel being much more important than most folks are aware of, and that most reels that don't come out of a blister or clam pack from Walmart or Big Box store are more than sufficiently smooth enough and functional to catch some bass. Ultimately it's a preference thing.
  5. Crappie jig.
  6. No way that is 6-8 unless you have Green Giant hands, or 12...
  7. This ^. Starter packs don't make sense because you select the bait, and then you find the right hook for it, not the other way around.
  8. 6'6" medium BC or spinning that isn't too fast. "technique specific" beetle spin rod is gangster...
  9. 22-26 AWG, depending on the jig size, I get the copper spools at the craft stores.
  10. I like fishing in the rain, normally it's cloudy (cue John Fogerty), and windy, and the crowds are for the most part not on the water, and the fish usually chew, what's there not to like.
  11. Lately I feel like a Fat Albert...
  12. Either the split ring has been stretched, and it's catching on the hook eye or blade and/or the hole on the blade is too small. Easy fix. I find when I'm fishing from shore they stick if they have too much green pumpkin, doesn't happen from a boat...
  13. I didn't say anything about difficult, but now that you mention it, it isn't. Again, I'm not speaking to having to machete your way to a spot, and negotiating snakes and ticks, or anything about getting to where the fish are. I am saying once there, the fishing is the same.
  14. Yeah, so don't fish there, just as you wouldn't fish from a boat where there are no fish. The access or lack there of doesn't change the fishing approach.
  15. I know most folks will disagree, and I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, but fishing from shore is no different than fishing from a boat. Suggesting particular baits or presentations without knowing the specifics of the areas fished makes no sense in either case, now yak fishing, yeah, they are different... The "I caught a fish on this, so it's the greatest lure ever" syndrome...
  16. I've been lucky to fish most of my bucket list locations and fish, but I'd absolutely go back to Africa, the South Pacific, or Panama. I would say PEI for giant bluefin, but when you catch them like we did last summer within sight of NYC you get spoiled. Honorable mention to the Keys, 1000 Island NY area, and Canada, eh?
  17. Plan B is pulling my front teeth out with pliers, hockey wives and GFs are ridiculous...
