  1. That's a lot of clutter, try turning down the gain until it looks like this...
  2. Squirrels use their tails as an umbrella in a downpour. I have one that hangs out on my deck railing when it rains.
  3. Yeah, you want some tip and backbone with a good frog rod for sure, in the mean time, you can weigh your existing frogs, specially if you are sledding them over slop, which is almost a necessity.
  4. You'll want the medium when casting 1/4 oz jigs, and then you'll want a MH (at least) when something real shows up.
  5. "Targeting" larger bass is no different than "targeting" any other species of fish. It's about finding them. If you find 2 lb bass, you are going to catch 2 lb bass, if you find 7 lb bass, you are going to catch 7 lb bass, (did yesterday on a toad, same toad I caught 3 dinks and 2 pickerel with). Big bass don't sit under some cover going "hey you gonna eat that, nah, too small, not worth it, let the kids have at it".
  6. Everything from barely twitching them to violently yanking on them and occasionally even dead sticking or cranking them. I don't know if it's right or wrong, and really don't care, fish get it like they want it.
  7. It's slang in some Spanish speaking countries for a young, (particularly a scrawny) boy. Growing up in Lima, nearly everyone had a nickname, most local slang terms.
  8. No glass or cranking rod for me, a medium or MH rod depending on the size of the square bill that bends to at least half way down without locking out and 12-25 lb mono, depending on what I am doing.
  9. A bunch of drunk rednecks with 250-300 HP on their tails in Gestation Nation? No thanks.
  10. -Yes, that rod will be perfect for the presentations listed. -No, that rod will not work for any of the presentations listed.
  11. My deepest sympathies for the involved. Suicide is doubly tragic, both for the departed, as well as their family and friends as this case poignantly demonstrates.
  12. I would relocate to the North Carolina portion of South Carolina....
  13. Sleeping in the blow boat tender...
  14. LOL, I'm out the door as soon as I can find my Army ballistic Oakleys with the Air Force (why aim high, why not just adjust the sights) prescription insert... The one good thing of Joint Commands...
  15. Try different rods, and see what works. Depending on when and where, a softer rod or a faster crisper rod will be the ticket. I fish them on heavy mono most of the time, but when fishing them deep in current (or around gnarly grass), I do go to braid, and then I'll go with a more powerful but slower rod in the first case. You can't go wrong with a good spinnerbait rod or something similar. I find a lot of times, unlike with a jig, they will hit it with abandon and continue towards you "putting slack in the line" so you have to catch up quickly before setting the hook, and this is where the problem with hook ups comes up for most folks if they just rear back on nothing. (I'm up early to do breakfast before a long bike ride this AM, old habit from racing days).
  16. And if it isn't, how hard would it be to adapt a plate or bracket?
  17. Will it help if I put a piece of painter's tape on the pkg and write JDM on it with a sharpie?
  18. And that's why they don't bring them in.
  19. Sounds like it may have developed a leak, but those little Mega poppers don't like to be over worked, so it might be that too.
  20. I described something similar, but a bit more complicated to a guy for a spanish mackerel trolling daisy chain, and he built it with no questions asked, he lived and went to school in MD though, just saying...
  21. You are about to get me banned...
  22. 4 1/2" sluggo, roll the credits...
