  1. I am convinced I can make any bait work. I have this thing I do with guys who think the bait makes or breaks the day, where I will let them pick 3 baits that they think will be the worst choice on a given day and I'll fish just that.
  2. I was thinking early 2000s Jessica Alba...
  3. Fish don't know techniques, if it wants a fast or slow sink rate, it doesn't care where you hook a bait or what you call it.
  4. LOL. In a pinch, I have used some of their sockets as a sinker when fishing bait...
  5. You need a snakehead or 2 in there, no more bullfrogs, or anything else.
  6. Evil Monkey...
  7. Ok, that makes sense, I like more line less rod, but while it doesn't "stretch like crazy" BG was designed to stretch early in the applied force curb to prevent breakage from surging fish, N/A for LMB obviously.
  8. I like surgical tubing for all wacky rigging, comes in diameters to fit any bait, you can customize the width, and you can orient the hook any way you want.
  9. I find most craws work when I find bass, and they don't when I don't.
  10. Yeah, but the entertainment value though...
  11. Someone translate to Boomer for me please...
  12. Medium MF, but again, a rod that fishes that way, not necessarily one that is labeled that way.
  13. No. The quest, (much like a start up company looking to get bought), is not about making a profit, it's about the payoff, which in "professional" bass fishing is being one of the handful that get the big sponsorship $.
  14. 3/8 brush or Arkie head.
  15. Yeah, in the hot weather you need to keep aerating or changing water almost constantly, as mentioned above it's an O2 level thing. I make block ice in my Pure Leaf ice tea containers, and keep them in a cooler, and throw one in every hour or so, keeps the water 10-15 degrees colder, and along with the aerator, it works well.
  16. Don't know specifically where to rent one, but I'd try with local boat dealers, they may not rent them on a regular basis, but If the $ is right, and you can come together on insurance and liability, it's an easy money maker. We rent high end bicycles for photo shoots a couple of times a year.
  17. Or a kayak...
  18. This is a real thing, and not just with fishing rods. It's not the equipment, it's the user, and is caused by a couple or both real, perceived, and imagined factors. Sadly, I was recently separated from 21 (or 22) of my favorite fresh water rod/reel combos, nothing high end or extreme for the most part, just what I selected through the years that works (worked) for me, now I find with even very similar rods, I'm feeling like I'm just not in synch and automatic as with my old sticks.
  19. Modified Albright over the uni unless the diameters are the same or very close.
  20. We are all indeed different but then, we are also all the same... "To thine own self be true" "If you cut us, do we not bleed? If you tickle us, do we not laugh?"
  21. Use whatever line will get your lure to the depth you want to fish it at. Thinner diameter will dive deeper, larger diameter will get more of your lures back.
