  1. It's doable, but probably not worth it cost wise. Controlling DC motor speeds is much easier than AC ones.
  2. Yeah, try that, why not...
  3. LOL. All the MD rockfish guys are crying, it's really good up in NY&NJ right now.
  4. There are no bass in MD...
  5. It does, all else being equal. That rod while labeled XF actually fishes more like a fast, what you are probably attributing to the action is the lower power, and overall greater flex (throughout the blank). My suggestion is to ignore all the letters and numbers on rods.
  6. LOL.
  7. a) I don't make up the rules, the Universe does, we just have a really good relationship... b) I can, and I do... Are we doing this?
  8. You have to back out the weight of the line (or anything else) the tape is displacing, (carry the one...)...
  9. I just give them to my neighbors on a windy day....
  10. I agree, the problem comes in when folks need to purchase a vehicle on short notice. The laughing out loud thing actually works. If you have the time and patience, they will call you back when they need to make a sale to close out a SPIF period, and you can really get a good deal then. One of my brother's buds/fishing clique guy leases late model luxury cars for a living (among other things) , and he has the nicest boat at the marina, so we have an in to the business model, they say it's a vestige throw back to the days of horse trading, don't know about that, the car sales scenes in Fargo are really funny if you haven't seen it.
  11. Variables yes, but not so much the number or size of fish (bass) caught. I use mostly BG and Ande mono, but there are several others that perform similarly. Being salt water lines, knot strength and shock resistance (stretch characteristics) are both high, which means that unless the line is compromised, a 2-10 lb fish isn't going to be able to stress it enough to significantly weaken the knot. Now if it gets scuffed from cover or otherwise, or if I straighten out a hook or bring back a big portion of a tree after getting stuck, and I get the "oh, this one might not come back" feeling just before it does, then yeah, that's retie time. I find 12 lb the cutoff (pun intended), anything lighter and I start to maybe think about knots, I use uni and palomar mostly. More importantly, went into Fan Duel, and couldn't see the odds or how to collect Waymont's $...
  12. While a healthy balanced diet is important to good health, dietary cholesterol is not a big part of the equation, and as most things there is a strong genetic component.
  13. Yeah, we are way below on rain here too.
  14. Patient: "Doctor, my kayak gets pulled all around the lake when I fish a deep diving crankbait" Doctor: "Get out of my office!"
  15. My BCs hold 4" of 3/8 three strand, so no problems with backlashes...
  16. Dad had a 4 door Monterrey, lot of room back there...
  17. I fall asleep watching TV on the couch a lot, and sleep at my brother's and other fishing and Navy buds a lot, so I could throw a hoodie over a cider block and be fine.
  18. Whether they are worth it $ wise, only the person putting up the cash can answer that. As far as catching big bass, no, you can catch very big bass on standard sized bass lures, and even tiny finesse ones. My PB (DD+) was caught on a 4" Senko, and its bigger than the official state record.
