  1. A carapace made of chitin thank you very much...
  2. I'm surprised the Robinsons never caught on...
  3. You honestly don't believe folks move bass around clandestinely?
  4. https://tenor.com/view/you-were-serious-about-that-gif-15366934
  5. I hear this a lot from trout guys about LMB and LMB anglers...
  6. Yeah, that's their thing. IMNSHO they are garbage. I own a bunch of different frogs, but hardly ever throw anything other than a pad crasher or a trophy.
  7. I'm retweeting this to Coastal Carolina students and alumni...
  8. Braid with 15 lb leader doesn't have a lot of stretch cushion technique correction coefficient, so a noodly rod, smooth fish fighting technique, and slowing down some might help (or changing the line), of course, without seeing it, it could be "they just got off", but it seldom is. Visualize maintaining even pressure the whole time, oh, and little to no hookset, they do that themselves, if you let them do a lap or two to one side, they will get a second hook in the gill plate or thereabouts most of the time if they didn't on the strike.
  9. It pains me to say this, but the Eagles look really, really good.
  10. And find a way to get out of step before the second verse of the cadence "C130 rolling down the strip"...
  11. You are polishing an after market 12 speed Campy compatible titanium cassette spacer while typing this, I can feel it...
  12. New moon waxing crescent?
  13. It's a misnomer, it refers to lures that are fished still or nearly so or lures that are moved and stopped, and are or can be bitten while stopped, jigs and t-rigs primarily, but pretty much everything (soft and hard) that can be fished as such.
  14. I tune into the annual awards dinner to check out who's wife of GF has the best legs...
  15. The BPS one, the Fat Free Shads for regular CBs. Haven't been there in a while though.
  16. Super Fluke comes in 7", BKD makes some big trailers too.
  17. I've got a couple of spots where feeder creeks or culverts feed into a body of water and are a slow flow, trickle, or even dry most of the time, when those things rage into the lake, it's lights out. The flow is so intense, you'd think it would be too hard for fish to feed there, it's not.
  18. Canoes suck for fishing almost as much as yaks...
  19. And in Australia?.... LOL, went for a group bike ride yesterday, and most folks are doing a steady(ish) effort throughout, I was doing interval efforts up any hill with a power spin over the top, a couple of the guys tried to come with me, and at one of the rest stops, one asks, how do you accelerate up the hill without shifting down or loosing cadence, without missing a beat, I say "are you pedaling left, right left, or right, left right, it makes a difference", had them going for almost 5 minutes making up all kinds of silliness on the fly...
  20. I fish jigs with mono 90% of the time. I will use braid around gnarly reedy cover sometimes as required.
  21. Specks and weakies almost always get a small(ish) soft plastic with not too much action on the lightest jighead I can get away with, or if they are crashing bait a topwater of some kind. You can catch them with treble lures, but that just makes it less efficient, and I don't do that.
  22. That's the right, I mean correct, answer...
  23. The ratio is fixed by the gearing, so it won't change, duh! What will change when you slow down the handle is the time it it takes for that handle to make a revolution (again, duh!) and thus the time it takes for the spool to make a revolution (duh! x 3), which will be the same time as the handle, (almost duh!), and thus the amount of line retrieved, rotation requires a unit of time, in IPT, we've selected T to be a variable substituting it situationally, (not quite duh!)... It's this kind of radical thinking that is ruining this country...
