you can rig the outside baits on plain hooks and weigh the middle one only, of course you could also put the trolling motor on high and get a rodholder....

One of the all time sleepers, great reel. I know what you mean about the cold, I have 2 with plastic sideplates for early season jerkbaits and lipless cranks.

Been fishing a 1.5 since last year (like all the other lemmings) and picked up a 1.0 at BPS last week, the 1.0 is a bit smaller than a Bandit 100, and has a sligthly tigther wiggle than the 1.5. Both catch for me, and at $6 I'll throw them where my Combat Cranks won't go.

Take a deep breath.....maybe if we describe it as a spinnerbait/donkey rig hybrid technique, we can incorporate it into the power fishing spectrum within an open water moving bait pattern. I'll say again: I love how LMB guys think their fishing is different than just fishing.

Cause towing a rig behind a (fill in Ford or Chevy of your choice) all around the country and staying at (Fill in cheesy motel chain of your choice), and being away from family and friends sounds like so much fun! If you enjoy competition and trophies, then yes, you'll probably enjoy it, if you enjoy fishing, then you certainly won't.

As others have mentioned above, that's just a variation on an umbrella, in open water schooling fish, will catch as many as you have hooks. Pointless around grass. I used to make a good living modifying sporting equipment for proffessional atheletes (not fishing) to make them look like a sponsored brand's model. I'm sure it goes on in all sports. In my experience, manufacturers, agents, and teams were in most cases all aware of it.

I like the Sammy 100 a lot, but there are a bunch of walk-the-dog TWs that will catch fish, spitting poppers are a different story, I have a bunch of different ones, and very subtle differences can make or brake them, even between "identical" ones. I have several Yellow Magics, and like the ones I get from Japan much more than the ones available here. They are much closer to the Rico and older Michael. The Don Iovino is good, and the Xcalibur works well for me when there is a bit more wind. Short answer (too late) is I would get one of each type you mentioned and try to build confidence with both. But I'm just a saltwater guy....

Stop! Even though the original post is silly and gave me a headache, I gotta stick up for Senkogeek, unless you are taking your lures to places with different gravitational forces, you can use weight or mass vs volume to derive bouyancy. Indeed, without weight there would be no sinking regardless of mass. (Yes I know the formulas)

Don't tell bass guys that, they are under the delusion that its a different ball game, and select "techniques" like they are ordering from the dollar menu. I guess if I lived in Arkansas or some other landlocked state I would feel the same.

I have no idea what that means. I find weight behind the reel makes rods feel lighter when fishing. A lot of saltwater rods are built using this and similar techniques.
