  1. Just get the Mandarin Rosetta stone and go on Alibaba.....
  2. Sounds like a matte crawfish finish to me....
  3. Its not a swim jig per se, but I find myself swimming 3/16 booyah boo jig with a fat albert grub a lot
  4. Depends on what I'm doing, what does "I'm not sure I like it" mean???
  5. I think its silly to fish for just 1 type of fish...
  6. Dude, I feel your pain, I had a Pop R tuned just right, to the point that I liked it better than my best Rico, or straight from Japan Yellow magics (I kid you not), and now I can't find it!!! I didn't loose it fishing, I've turned the house/garage and boat inside-out 3 times, I am so bummed, It had a great balance, and that one glass rattle sound. I find no matter the brand, every so often you come accross a special popper (or crankbait). Now you've made me cry!!!
  7. Tuna? Really?!...Please to stop typing silly things oh yee of freshwater ways..... When we were kids, we had one rod, a 5' 9" spinning with 6lb test, had to use it for everything from sunnies to bluefish, The only way a bass should break off on 6lb line is if it gets in the cover.
  8. a unit-uni will work fine, but I'm not sure why you'd want to do that, mono under the 50 lb braid will work just fine, if you are still learning, 30 lb braid might not be a good idea, as far as filling the spool, I find different rod/bait combinations cast best with slightly varying amounts of line, I find I'm happiest between 3/4 and 7/8 full, the biggest exception is heavy braid, where I like it topped off. I know I'll sound like a favorite old 45, but try it and see what works for you.
  9. most of the time I use 15lb mono, sometimes I'll go 20 or even 25, but not often.
  10. The "correct" setup is the one that feels right and works for you, less reading more fishing...
  11. KISS, scissors, just pull the braid tight when you cut it.
  12. I like my Dick's Field&Stream IM7 MH 7' better than anything else I own for frogs.
  13. I couldn't disagree more. It could be marbles, bowling or darts if you prefer, same results, what separates the pros from the rest isn't equipment, physical talent, competitive nature, psychological makeup, or anything else alone, its the extremely rare combinations of all these factors, not to mention the exposure to the sport or activity.
  14. Depends on where the fish are, and what mood they are in, but If I have less than 6" of vis I like a Hank parker classic spinnerbait bl/chart/wht, an old purple with chart tips stanley jig with a loud green trailer, or all black with a white trailer, a Super Spot with some chart, and a bagley flat b chart/black back. I think its a confidence thing, go with what you trust.
  15. Get my butt handed to me just like 99.99% of the "enthusiasts", why not buy a "pro" set of boxing gloves and get in the ring with a top pro, same thing...
  16. Nice starter kit...
  17. I think LMB guys get hung up on the whole "pattern" thing, just like any other type of fishing, its about finding fish, how and with what they get caught then almost defaults to the best tool based on where they are.
  18. So you are fishing with a whole bunch of different rods, and you don't find some are better suited than others?... Is this Hellen Keller?
  19. My favorite braid is also Trilene Big Game,....but if you have to explain it...
  20. without a doubt
  21. My favorite flouro is Trilene Big Game...
  22. My wife hides her nail polish when she hears me coming...
  23. Shallow cranking, depending on forage: Combat crank mini LC RC 0.5 Daiwa Peanut SK KVD 1.0 Bandit 100 SK KVD 1.5 LC RC 1.5 I don't do a whole lot of deep cranking, but when I do I find I reach for fat free shads, and some other older bombers and rebels...
  24. My favorite grass jig is a T-rig...
