  1. Yes, I bet you were expecting a NED or senko...
  2. But don't tell anyone, they might post it on the InterWeb...
  3. Ideally, you turn the handle ever so slowly, and the bait glides an inch or two (less if you are good) from the bottom the whole time. It's not an on the bottom thing, though it can be in places where it won't get hung. It's how I caught most of my winter fish, I used a crappie or walleye ball head and cut the tail off some grubs.
  4. Leaving aside the 4" straight tail in murky water thing, any of them as long as you have a jar of chart. dye. You should hit the water, they are biting in MD.
  5. Yeah, not familiar with that one. I googled it and a skinny dipper looking thing showed up. Is that the one? cause if it is, then Skinny Dipper.
  6. Neither. Both will catch fish, but for me there are better options, The Googan thing is a knockoff, so there are several versions of the same thing out there. I'm not a fan of plastic trailers shaped like rind (said the guy who has some DIY pork brining in the fridge). Try the Zoom swimming chunk on that finesse jig.
  7. Catching bass, (and the occasional unintentional crappie or pickerel), and yes, any trailer will work.
  8. I think the Fury will be better for swatting Zombies...
  9. I've done that, but it's the swinging part that makes it snag. I use a short piece of surge tubing over the hook eye, which acts like shrink tubing which also works, but use a hair drier or heat gun not a flame, ask me how I know.... Thy also make open eye hooks with the same bend as most spinnerbaits use, Check salt water section or sites.
  10. Don't know, cause I don't fish chatters on light line. 1/4 and 3/8 mostly on 15 lb, 1/2 and up on 20 lb, BG of course. I don't like braid, but will use it in current when trying to keep bait down close to bottom, then it's 40 lb.
  11. I named that tea bagging, but changed it to dipsy doo when I found out it meant something else. Works great with anything you can get to dangle on a low hanging branch. Now I need a new name for pegging.....
  12. "In the Shop, with another great tip on a presentation you must see".... Cue PT Barnum
  13. No braid for top water for me (other than frogs). If I had to, I would probably go with 40. I like to walk the dog with 15-20 lb mono, smaller ones and poppers on 12.
  14. Chatter and square bill have been best so far, but spinnerbait and swim bait coming on. I'm not a fan of subtle plastics in cold water.
  15. Pea soup green water and muddy water are two different animals. Only one way to find out what the fish will want on a given day. I never do well with muddy water and finesse presentations, zero vis green water, sometimes.
  16. How'd we go from Black Max to Revo X? But to answer your question, IMNSHO, yes.
  17. When I see those three words together, I'm either riding my bike or working on my tennis game.
  18. Black Max is a very good choice in a tight budget.
  19. French Fries save the day for me more than I care to admit. Rig it like any other do nothing plastic. My favorite is wacky with a finishing nail on one end.
  20. BPS has the transducer and compatible units in the Spring Classic. I'll probably wait for the next generation before jumping in. I agree that you want the largest screen possible, as well as one that doesn't get too washed out in the sun. I doubt that I will fish it like a video game, but It's nice to be able to see not only the fish real time, but how they react to different baits and presentations as a learning tool.
  21. I reallly like the SK 3/16 SBs (which the LMM is). I like it better with the tandem combination (like the bleeding bait ones) or I change out to a single #3 or 4 colorado (with a little solder on the shaft). It's what I tie on for folks who "never catch on a spinnerbait" when I take them out. I want to like the Booyah pond magic, but it's just too light. sure I can mod it, but at that point I'm where the Stanley small fry shines. The War Eagle finnese spinnerbaits are a good ones too. I really gotta stop watching "giving away secrets" videos...
  22. The second thing you said.
