  1. Hate to be pushy, but the "Is it Topwater?" T-shirts aren't selling as well as I'd hoped...
  2. Olive oil might be a tad too viscous...
  3. I expect my royalty check soonest....
  4. "I could label it more clearly, but it might cost me sales" Awesome!
  5. Except for specific or niche presentations like punching, pitching heavy cover, fishing deep, or stroking and the like, I'm going with the lightest weight I can get away with, starting with none, so pretty much everywhere.
  6. And what color would be best? Oh, never mind I found my C-lector under the bed...
  7. Swim jigs are adorned jig heads, the trailer is going to determine it's action, and there are trailers that will certainly work in colder water, that being said, I don't usually go to the swim jig until the water gets close to 60, I find a more reaction bite lure, like JBs, lipless, square bills and chatters are a better choice in the early pre spawn. Right now as the fish get more in the mood, plastics start to take over.
  8. If I understand the situation correctly, and you want the two people to have a somewhat similar opportunity at the fish, back off and pitch to the strand line. Sounds like pitching into it might be an option, a T-rig or swim jig might be the ticket. In reality one angler is always going to have a better angle at the fish, but unless you are fishing clear, calm water, the fish can be caught from "used" water from the back. Also pick lefty fishing buddies if you are a righty, and vise versa. Fished out of a 12ft cartop Jon for a long time, you make it work.
  9. Terrible angle for fishtimating, but based on the hand and mouth, which are about the only things on the same plane in the photo, and the fish being a bit on the fat side, I'm gonna say 3 3/4- 4 lbs. There is that much gravity in PA?...
  10. Gray Poupon is tasty.... $800k house in Cleveland, that's like what, $2.5 million in a real town... IBTL.
  11. I've got an old O'Haus from the eighties I can let go cheap, just don't adopt any retired K9s... That is a 50 lb scale with a 1lb increment, so about 1/2 lb is as close I you can hope to capture, and if you are trying to weigh a bass under 5 lbs or so, I doubt it will be even that accurate. A 50 lb scale isn't big enough to weigh striped bass, not out east anyway...
  12. I don't know % wise, but most of the ones we use can do incredible things. One of them is an OCD, anal perfectionist, that won't even let me fish with MY rod for 48 hours after he works on it. He begs to do intricate work, but we use straight winding, all black, minimum thread on our builds. It started as a joke, and became a thing.
  13. Yes, or contact them to get the make and model of the guides used. Any rod builder worth his salt can make the repair indistinguishable from the original, if anything they may have to get a little sloppy to match the rest.
  14. All good suggestions. Wally World has the Black Max Combo for $59, no brainer. I would recommend that, and save up $50 or so and get an Aird-X, if you end up liking BCs.
  15. I am emphatically agreeing with you. I like to say "A Med rod that fishes like a MH, or a MH that fishes more like a Med" Don't make me post pixs of striped bass...
  16. The lure(s) you are fishing, and where you are fishing them will dictate what line and rod will be suited to the task, so there is no one action, power, or length, that is better, the only way to find out is to go fishing with what rod you have, and then ask yourself (like Goldilocks) is this rod just right, or do I wish it was a bit (or a lot) more or less [fill in the blank].
  17. "The tertiary point adjacent to the first break past the secondary hump on the first arm"...
  18. So "decriminalize" is just click bait? I wish you luck, but if I was a betting man (and I am) I'd take the Home Owners and give the points.
  19. With a couple of packs of blades, you can make one up on the fly. I like a shorter arm on a single Colorado, so I trim a tandem down about an inch or so.
  20. Not often, but yes.
  21. Assuming one is a competent drone pilot, and has a decent drone, it could certainly be used to get a better and different view of a body of water, but unless there is very clear water, little chop and the right light conditions, you aren't going to see very far into the water. You will see grass lines, and depth and bottom changes based on surface color though, you may even see feeding schools and other such things that may also be helpful.
  22. There are fewer things more fun that pulling an empty trailer with maxed out tires. You want to find a happy medium. The 5lbs below max above is a good suggestion, adjust as required for overall weight and road conditions.
