  1. LOL. I have (and have had since we lived in a NYC studio apt) a 13' one piece 8 and b8 heaver, might try it for BFS...
  2. File off the smallie serial number like an illegal gun, so the LMB won't know the difference...
  3. LMAO. I'm gonna borrow that.
  4. War Eagle spinnerbaits durable? What shape is the Earth?...
  5. Not so much in bass fishing, but regardless of brand, I have seen quite a bit of more "mystery breaks" on 30 lb than 40 lb braid. That being said, sounds like in the OP's case, the line is defective or compromised in some way. I would switch out reels to a different rod and tie something worth loosing to both to help diagnose. Small nicks in light braid can really weaken it, (you'd think it was fluoro)...
  6. There's your problem right there. We don't get to decide, the thing on the other end does, (if you are doing it right)...
  7. My Lobina Rico, Zorro spinnerbait, and Bandito Bug are offended...
  8. I have some small poppers with feathers on both hooks for dead sticking them, sometimes it's what they want. Technique name anyone?....
  9. From the time the alarm clock goes off until the time my head hits the pillow... Seriously, From late pre spawn right until they get chilled in the winter. A popper is a much more versatile lure than most folks think.
  10. Tie direct to split ring. I don't retie often, but with a uni, the tag is only and inch or two, so no issue there either.
  11. The whole why are folks still running 2 cycle outboards aside, the small low tech 50 isn't fuzzy, mix away.
  12. "But what I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career, skills that make me a nightmare for people like you."
  13. That was like a bad acid trip, maybe I just thought I googled roadrunner...
  14. So the Shimano reel you were looking for wasn't even a Shimano, lucky it turned out to be a reel I guess...
  15. As long as the number of lures I can get them to bite is >0, I'm good.
  16. That is the Canadian castrating moth larvae. They work their way to their victims middle finger where they imperceptibly deposit a single egg that travels through the body and lodges in the private parts, where it sits dormant for about 2 months before maturing and causing the member to fall off, and the cycle to repeat. There is no known cure, but fortunately they are not likely to infect humans unless disturbed from under stream beds...
  17. Patient: Doctor, my knot keeps busting when it goes through the level wind. Doctor: Don't make your knot go through the level wind, oh and you only have three months to live assuming you can pay me in full by then...
  18. I would dial the Delorian to the day before Glenn thought of BR and bop him over the head with an empty bottle of Rheingold, and then run as fast as I could in marshmallow platforms and bell bottoms while trying not to mess up the curls on the perm...
  19. Scents, both incorporated into lures, and sprayed or rubbed on work. Are there times when bass fishing when one can make due or catch just as well without them, sure. But it is exactly those times when the fishing isn't fast and furious, or is down right tough, where scents really can make a huge difference.
