  1. Try reeling just before the lure hits the water.
  2. I've used a rock or a brick in a pinch, in some cases, the point is rolled rather than dull, so it's just a couple of passes.
  3. Sounds like ya'll need a flatfish PED random testing program. I switched to a snelled big Gammi octopus, and bent the offset straight a while back, and hardly loose any. You want a soft long rod with heavy line, you can almost fish the drag locked down, and Gulp, it's fluke crack, oh, and a net and not letting the fish break the surface is a good idea.
  4. Revlon nail file.
  5. I'm under the impression that I can have any reel, however the old Korean Trion wide RH in a 6.3 is proving a tad difficult to locate.
  6. Rx: More time on the water, and the experience derived from it, and a referral to psych for a diagnosis to the "compelled" thing.
  7. I like 45° to 60°, but yeah. Also check the blade edge for burrs. The snapping the rod thing is standard. I bend one point (the one opposite the eye bend) into the shank until the point is up against it. Lastly in cold(er) water, sometimes the no spin thing works.
  8. I'm pretty sure Lefty doesn't use the same clubs as Tiger...
  9. "giving up" or having "Favorite" lures makes as much sense to me as giving up on a hammer, wrench or screwdriver. I pull out the tool that is required for the job at hand.
  10. Zombies AND Jeopardy category all in one. Killer!
  11. Sounds like you ran yourself ragged, and fell victim to opportunistic infection due to your compromised immune system. I'd be willing to bet it was weeks in the making. Pneumonia usually doesn't affect young healthy folks. Listen to your body, get plenty of sleep, and try to eat semi healthy things. Fish will be there.
  12. In my experience, the sound and splash a lure makes (or the absence of one) can be a positive or a negative depending on many factors.
  13. Pitching is a type of cast. It makes no difference how you are casting, you need to be accurate and consistent to increase chance of being successful. I think most anglers know that.
  14. They make smaller wanna be milk crates.
  15. Look at the bright side, no more speed camera tickets... Yeah, and Tide pods should be tastier...
  16. And drink Sam's Cola?...
  17. T-rigged craw. You can cover water, hop it, drag it, swim it, soak it, or buzz it, and everything in between.
  18. LOL. What do you blow your nose with, and clean your ears with?...
  19. Absolutely legit! Oh wait, was he the guy from Aerosmith?... Wow, talk about a long cast...
  20. 5/8 oz chatterbait.
  21. Check to make sure the handle nut isn't loose.
  22. 15 BG, 20 if you are willing to pay to repair the dock...
