  1. Yeah, I was going to say LMB anglers are the lemmings of fishing.
  2. I don't think the butt handing has anything to do with line choice. I really enjoy doing it with mono. A fluke charter captain and a commercial striped bass pin hooker who should have known better both insisted "you had to use fluoro", well, it turn$ out you didn't.
  3. A weightless red wiggler on a #6 hook, letting the current drag it by log jams and undercuts with some deeper water. Scouting good areas is a must.
  4. I'm partial to a diamond jig myself...
  5. Yes.
  6. A waterbody?...
  7. "Nomenclature is the haven of the incapable" "Would not a rose by any other name smell as sweet" "Thingymajigy"
  8. 3/8 oz with a 4 1/2 willow and a 3 Colorado.
  9. Cut the swivel off with dykes?
  10. Millennials, marsupials, you know what I mean.... Ironically, gin is the only thing I refuse to drink.
  11. Gin X...
  12. I find that a shallow suspending JB is better in theory than in practice, but I usually tweek a Long A or Shadow Shad Rap when I get the notion.
  13. That's because (despite what you read here and elsewhere on the InterWeb) LMB are not line shy in the least.
  14. Two snaps and no twist...
  15. most fish can swim backwards, just not very well. They are designed to move forward, like most other things.
  16. Nope, fishing as a whole is relatively easy, as far as bite detection goes, and specifically to jigs, all the secondary indications of a bite are a backup to feeling the bite, which is usually a subtle tick or tap. Line movement, something feeling different in it's many forms, or anything else that may indicate a bite has already occurred, while certainly are useful and will result in more fish, are in no way an indication that the initial bite wasn't missed. One needs to work on both in order to maximize hooked fish.
  17. Those are all decent sticks. They will all serve you well.
  18. Or beating bad children...
  19. LMAO. A medium power rod is not even the same between casting vs casting....
  20. If it is laying on it's side or actually spinning, there is friction between the prop and the shaft or the bearing. I find the QC not to be the greatest, but most issues are an easy fix.
  21. That will weaken the line. I do stretch mono to remove the slinky sometimes though.
  22. If that was the case hockey scores would look like basketball ones...
  23. And Chief Selects.... Congratulations Class 128.
