  1. "Yes, hello? I ordered 6 Jackhammers and all I got were some chatterbaits...., Can I speak to a manager?..."
  2. That's a short handle for a 7' stick. I use painters tape to place guides. No guessing, no math.
  3. LOL. That show wasn't supposed to be funny, but it was.
  4. Wrong on the fishing, and wrong on the tennis.
  5. Picture? You probably don't have a ferrule, it's integral to the blank. Resin and wrap will work as long as it's not too far gone.
  6. Old news. They don't have enough cash to keep going much longer. I guess the regulators prefer a liquidation to a merger.
  7. I see nothing about tuition being a requirement... Section 1547.05 | Completing boating course as prerequisite to licensing; exception. Ohio Revised Code Title 15 Conservation of Natural Resources Chapter 1547 Watercraft And Waterways Effective: September 14, 2016 Latest Legislation: Senate Bill 293 - 131st General Assembly PDF: Download Authenticated PDF (A) Except as provided in division (B) of this section, no person born on or after January 1, 1982, shall operate on the waters in this state a powercraft powered by more than ten horsepower, unless the operator successfully has completed either a safe boater course approved by the national association of state boating law administrators or a proctored or nonproctored proficiency examination that tests knowledge of information included in the curriculum of such a course, and has received a certificate as evidence of successful completion of the course or examination. (B) Division (A) of this section does not apply to an individual who possesses valid merchant mariner credentials issued by the United States coast guard in accordance with 46 C.F.R. 10.109 with at least one endorsement of master or operator as defined in 46 C.F.R. 10.107. Such an individual, while operating any recreational vessel on the waters in this state, shall carry onboard documentation of the merchant mariner credentials and required endorsements and shall present the documentation to a natural resources officer or law enforcement officer upon request. (C) No person shall permit a powercraft to be operated on the waters in this state in violation of division (A) of this section.
  8. From the horse's mouth: ORC 1547.05 Completing boating course as prerequisite to licensing; exception No person born on or after January 1, 1982, shall operate a powercraft powered by more than 10 horsepower unless the operator has received a certificate for successful completion of either of the following: A boating course approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA); A proficiency examination approved by the Ohio Division of Watercraft.
  9. Sure, but start a thread on what's the best line for A-rigs, and you'll see fluoro there, when that is an absurd answer, and there is the Tokyo rig thing and the like, ignore all this wire and hardware, but beware the filament? I don't hate fluoro, and If I'm pitching for $, yeah, I'll go that route. Otherwise the drawbacks are just too much of a hassle.
  10. Depending on the time of year, and how the growth is I like a combination of snaking things through, or pseudo punching it. In the summer frogs are great, and sometimes just plowing something obnoxious through there can be the ticket. A jig, chatter, t-rig, swimbait, buzzbait, and at times a crank or wakebait will make it happen.
  11. Sure, that will work. Depends on the conditions and time of year. Will it be better than other things? Only one way to find out. The lake you describe will have me doubling up on my pitching setups on the deck until the fish tell me otherwise.
  12. In padded lycra shorts, thank you very much....
  13. Most of them are Indiana/Colorado
  14. Grown men in these things is sad....
  15. I make a lot of beer money on the mono side. Yes, fluoro does transmit bites better than mono, but if you aren't feeling the bites with any line, it's you not the line.
  16. I've never seen an advantage to a double Indiana over an Indiana Colorado, but as you say, it's an easy fix to change out blades.
  17. ...
  18. I resisted $35 Aird-X, and $1 jigs in the same week, take that you ugly ape! Had they been 1/2 oz, I'd been in trouble though...
  19. Not a fan of wacky drop shot (or most other hybrid attempts). A thin senko thing or finesse worm is what I would use were I ever inclined. It's a slippery slope, pretty soon folks will be wanting to cast umbrellas...
  20. Let's hook up 300-400 ponies to the transom of a shallow draft 21 foot boat, what could possibly go wrong. I don't commute in an Indy car, and I wouldn't get a boat like that unless I was fishing tournaments in big water (and the sponsor kicked in a bunch of it).
  21. Stealing ideas and electrocuting elephants?...
  22. Yeah, but it's scrambled, so.....
