  1. "On the sound" if you want to sound like a local, faces Lawn Guy Land though, Oi Bay!
  2. It's all a business, everything else is in people's heads.
  3. Most pros don't look at equipment like the average enthusiast does. To them they are tools, and if Makita is going to pay them more money than Milwaukee to frame the houses, then that's what it is going to be.
  4. Usually a spinnerbait or chatter, but sometimes a swim jig or crank. During warmer weather, sometimes a topwater.
  5. Floating or slow rising shallow 4 1/2" to 6" (or Royal with cheese equivalent) with only 2 hooks. Seems like most have 3 hooks. I'm looking for ideas, not necessarily to buy one here, although...
  6. Dirty Sanchez Sweet Beaver with a trimmed skirt, tied with heavy braid on a long rod, worked with a fast stroke, and maybe some scent added....
  7. A 6.something or 7 will work fine. Here's a crazy idea, try them all and see which one YOU like best... It's all in the hips...
  8. Without the required operator's training and documentation?...
  9. First, understand that the label on the rod may or may not correspond to how the rod actually fishes, so actual time on the water is the right answer, but assuming it is somewhat accurate, small to medium t-rigs, lighter swim jigs, larger tubes, and with mono some treble hook lures.(micro chatter too, but shhhhh...)
  10. Not usually, but there are specific times and conditions when running power presentations will put them off even further, certainly not the norm, but it does happen.
  11. Yup. There is a saying in sporting goods retailing, "The enthusiast is not your customer" applies to everything from scuba regulators to ski bindings and everything in between. Sales without margins is a sure way to go under.
  12. Yep X3. The elongation per tension force applied curve is different.
  13. Mostly pickerel, crappie, and cats. But as long as the ice clears, I'll get a bass most outings too.
  14. Ok, but I'm still using fluro leader when snapper fishing in clear water cause I likes fillets...
  15. Cow one three fishing?...
  16. Wait now, that is not accurate. Fluoro's refractive index IS closer to water's than mono, and under most conditions it is less visible. What is bovine excrement is that that difference will make a difference to bass. there are certain fish that are line shy, LMB just aren't. Fluoro users have enough issues, no need for fake news....
  17. Technically speaking, fluoro is more abrasion resistant than mono, however in the real world mono will hold up better. Once compromised, fluoro looses it's strength much faster than mono. This is why their tests favor mono, they abrade the line under tension until it fails. Mono will win that battle almost without fail (pun intended).
  18. Yes, most jerkbaits can be cranked or swept. "Other" anglers troll the same exact JBs bass guys jerk. I'd reserve it for slightly warmer water, the exception is "spybaiting" a JB.
  19. "What's the best line for Mendota rig fishing?".... LMB guys are nothing if not entertaining...
