  1. LOL. Haven't done that, but I did, while driving home from Norfolk to DC recently on the weekend with little sleep, stop for a coffee and McMuffin early in the am, only to find out when I got home when I saw the logo on the cup, that I had purchased something similar from Dunkin Donuts next door...
  2. Oh cry me a river already, with all this GA, TX, and LA cold weather talk....
  3. Yeah, that will work. I used to fish spinnerbaits almost exclusively on 12 lb BG. It's all fun and games until someone pokes an eye out...
  4. Not a fan of 60 degree water and moon, fish thinking of lovin' not eatin', but timing is everything, and there are always fish to catch around this time, so it's not all bad.
  5. 1/2 oz spinnerbaits get 15-20 lb mono for the most part. In some isolated cases where I'm targeting spots in heavy cover, 40-50 lb braid.
  6. Oh man, it's too bad you didn't have enough matching cork...
  7. This is old information, haven't fished that area in years, but that creek needs a few more degrees, it's mostly shallow. I'd look near the mouth in deeper pockets if you go, and don't be surprised if it turns into a catfish trip. Snakehead (and bass) is good in the warmer months, but hey, there is only one way to find out if they are there now. Caught my first on a spinnerbait yesterday across the Woodrow Wilson bridge.
  8. I've done it, and it can work well, but not really worth the effort with all the great cranks available.
  9. The logo is on the other side, and the guides are wrapped the other way to reduce torque... Remember, two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts do, (except in NJ)...
  10. I catch way more fish on the t-rig, but that's just cause I hardly ever wacky rig.
  11. Yup, know what your JB is doing with your input, and what it is doing without your input, and pretty much any will work. Right now in most places (Sorry Michigan) one can go with a more aggressive JB and cadence as the water temps are on the upswing, and fish are in the right places.
  12. No, like a shinny penny, I pick up funny where I find it... True story, when I first joined the Boy Scouts, they sent me over to the next troop's camp to "borrow a left handed hammer"
  13. Kinda what one would expect it to look like I think.
  14. So can I mount a left handed reel on it or not?!...
  15. I think the word elite is throwing folks off, thoroughly entertained nonetheless...
  16. Sounds like you are getting a bit of this ^.
  17. JB, square bill, and chatter bait are getting it done right now, I carry some lipless, and a few 3" paddle tails and jig heads too this time of year. I just started catching multiple fish when I find them. They are about to get bunched up, good times. Once the water warms up a tad more, jigs and t-rigs get mixed in.
  18. Ok, let's eliminate or verify the spool, -Wind the line tightly and tape down with some painters tape (scotch will work in a pinch), or remove line. (make sure nothing is protruding or touching). -Loosen tension knob until you have a very slight play, and set the brake to lowest setting. -press the thumb bar, hold the reel level, and in a quiet area spin the spool with your finger. If the spindle is bent, or something else is getting hung up, it will be obvious. If it passes this test, then move on to the drive train, instructions available to Patrions...
  19. Sounds like something isn't seated right, did you take the spool out, or open the side plate? Maybe line caught up somewhere? Drop the spool on a hard floor?
