  1. That reminds me, I need a haircut...
  2. I had 2 of those Fulcrums, I would still fish them if I still had them.
  3. I'm blinking "Ignore any advise with EWG in it"....
  4. This is why I'm selling or giving away all my tackle before I die...
  5. Some of my older telescoping flipping sticks do an ok job with deep cranking in a pinch, light inshore salt water too...
  6. Only Cinelli in the Italian flag color though...
  7. Surprisingly (to me) a floating JB has been getting it done in shallow hydrilla and millfoil this year. Anyone having an unusual pre spawn this year? or is it just me?...
  8. That is actually a good way to do it, and just like chess, if you can do it with folks that are much better, that will speed things up.
  9. I would check the wiring, connectors, and battery terminals to rule that out, if it checks out sounds like it's time for a new battery. Might want to check that the charger is working properly too, though that is likely not the cause, you never know.
  10. That rate of rise at rest is just as important, if not more so than the tight wiggle in cold water. I have a couple of "non-flat sided" plastic cranks that do very well in the early season. I like the SK 1.5, but more for bouncing off wood later on.
  11. Yup, Time on the water while fishing for anything will carry over into other types of fishing. Bass guys are some of the worst at believing that their fishing is somehow different, separate, or more challenging than "other" fishing, often to their detriment.
  12. Because catching fish is about finding fish.
  13. No, the chores, and honey do list is long, but I WILL be fishing today...
  14. One comes from a tree, the other isn't biodegradable...
  15. Wow, that fish is going to be president one day...
  16. That will work, but what I found works best is to keep the loop formed by the double line at the hook eye open, and cinch both together, keeping everything loose until it meets at the eye. You can even back everything out to reduce tag end, until you are ready to cinch it down, no pressure or "scraping" anywhere along the process.
  17. Short answer, the line is being damaged during the tying or cinching of the knot, and fluoro really doesn't like that. Folks think the palomar isn't a good knot for fluoro, but when tied correctly, it's as good as anything else.
  18. "It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission"
  19. Will that apply to workers at Dollywood?...
  20. Cranks dive deeper on braid than they do on fluoro.
  21. Yup, looking at it as "an extra hour of light" is a mistake. You should be fishing at the same moments you currently are (assuming one has a clue and is doing it semi right), the clocks will just say something different. Where the affect will certainly happen, is when one's schedule conflicts, and does not allow for an outing, but that happens now,... or you could move to Ecuador....
  22. It's amazing to me that the Coastie Auxilary folks find the time to do boat safety checks, what with feeding the cats, Comic-Con, scale model building, and medieval reenactments....
