  1. Get yourself some paddle tails and curly grubs as well. Those look exactly like some I use to pitch to a culvert after a heavy rain. Outkast?
  2. 10-20 lb BG for BC, 6-10 lb XL on spinning, 50-65 PP on frogs, roll the credits... The only Technique I know was my phonograph....
  3. Moving blanket with a couple of ratchet straps and tying off the points front and aft is how I would do it if I'd ever lost my mind and actually considered fishing out of one of those things....
  4. It's like the Mario test, and you failed....
  5. Unless there is an underlying issue, or design flaw with the blank, that's not how it works. Glad you aren't breaking rods though.
  6. They gotta pay for the buyout...
  7. A nice Dyson or Roomba, not some cheap Hoover... #comfycouch
  8. That is very true, and certainly as you get older, relationships are made, and they take time, and no one has 50 friends, they just think they do.
  9. The only thing I've learned from fishing in the back is that I should be fishing in he front...
  10. Or a vacuum cleaner....
  11. I have #3 and #4, and might have #2. Not for sale, but you can borrow one if you promise not to scratch them up...
  12. No, I just change blades out a bunch.
  13. I use 4600s for bass, 5500s inshore, and 6500s for catfish. I have some 7000 and larger ones, that I no longer use.
  14. I'll liquidate a little Bitcoin and RBOB and get 2 colors...
  15. Peacocks are not African, though they are cichlids, what folks refer to as peacock bass are actually 3 different species. Oh, and LMB are sunfish...
  16. I use the same reel for everything bass (in different gear ratios).
  17. First bite at the elephant: Because they are using two different scales. The Clarus is a bass/fresh water one, and the Talus (good rod by the way) is a salt water one. Apples and oranges. Roughly a heavy rated bass rod, will be a medium inshore salt water one, but there is no standard, so not exact. The 6-7 rod you are looking for lives outside the bass isles. I like the lighter St Croix surf rods in 7' or so for what you are describing, Okuma, and Tica make some nice ones too.
  18. Capt Dave Snellings of Piscataway Charters...
  19. Nice, I want some of those long Indianas and creased willows.
  20. As required, not on a time schedule. Properly cleaned and lubed bearings are more important than "upgrades". I sell expensive bearings for a living, so don't tell the cyclists...
  21. I would burn with a paddle tail burner, but then I haven't been inhaling the air on the skyway...
  22. From those 3 rods, the bottom 2.
  23. I don't think either of those two rods is what would work best for the use you describe, but only you can decide what works for you. ps: I'm not allowed to fun St Croix ad copy here (apparently), so I won't, but I so want to say moderate...
