  1. I would do the 6.something, but 7.something will work ok enough, particularly with smaller baits.
  2. It's busy curing cancer...
  3. Any of the same lures that work "not offshore" that you can effectively fish at the depth the fish are at.
  4. One of the few monos I've actually taken off a reel because of it's fluoro like fragility.
  5. Two things to keep in mind, first, some lures have more than one chamber with bbs or rattles in them, and you want to make sure they end up at the bottom of the lure reasonably centered. I don't do it much anymore, but caulk in a syringe works well, and it seals it's own hole, so a one step project. If you have translucent colors of a particular bait, if you shine a bright light through it, you can get a good idea as to what you are working with before the surgery.
  6. "I likes french fried potatoes, ah huh"...
  7. I'm sorry your rod broke, but warranties don't "should" anything, they are spelled out in writing somewhere. As to "obviously defective" how are we getting there?
  8. No, that's your grandfather's spinner talking. Any spinner including Mepps will twist if you pull them fast enough, and as sometimes that's the ticket it's going to happen, not to mention that if you are fishing a particular piece of cover or arc on a piece of current, you want that back for the next cast as quickly as possible, kinda like pitching. Sure, if you just slow roll it the length of the cast, twist will be kept to a minimum, but that is just not a very effective way to do it. I like a tiny bb swivel a foot or so ahead of the spinner, instead of one on the lure, but both work.
  9. Black, and I'm either throwing 1/2 or 1/8.
  10. Old folks have the best complaints, just bring the BPS paper catalogs to read while you wait...
  11. I hate to be negative, but the current state of electrical know how is shocking, I'm positive that we should conduct some sort of training, but I'm sure that idea will meet with resistance...
  12. You know a space shuttle crashed because of an o ring failing, right?... I have an '11 Fit, and if I disconnect the battery, I have to reset the radio with a code I keep loosing.
  13. Yes, I can see that, at times a small accent of color or flash can make a significant difference, eyes or not. I can't catch a cold with underspins, not sure why, probably a confidence thing at this point.
  14. I'm not a believer in eyes making a difference most of the time, but if you hold a lighter to either end of some heavy mono, you can make eyes in like 10 seconds, and they stay put once inserted without glue or anything else.
  15. Once repaired, (take off the top guide and replace the tip) other than bait fishing as suggested, I'd use that for a plopper 75 with braid and short heavy mono leader, or tomato sticks.
  16. Through the eye twice uni knot will outperform any knot if you cinch it toit...
  17. Two rods, two reels? Here's a crazy idea, try it both ways and see which YOU like better?
  18. WWDs are your best friend in winter, I have a great power plant access/not inventor story that I can't share in public.
  19. LMAO. Wouldn't have happened if you had pedaled instead of peddled...
  20. Makes me want to fish it in the winter....
  21. It's a bit too much rod both in terms of power and length, but it will work in a pinch.
  22. hid·den /ˈhidn/ verb past participle of hide. adjective kept out of sight; concealed. "hidden dangers"
