  1. RB, I can't explain it. Maybe T was just trying to lull WKU into a false sense of security?!? Probably not. Either that or at half time the team traded uniforms with the Indy Colts. I mean, Peyton was at the game yesterday. LOL
  2. Yeah, well, it was just WKU. I heard somewhere that Urban Meyers said he wanted to beat Kiffen by at least 50. I wonder if that is for the whole game, or for each half. ;D Anyway, it's a good start. I'll still be pulling for the Vols to make it a close, interesting game against Florida. (It's good to have a dream.)
  3. After all of the trash-talkin' that Lane Kiffen has spread it's good to see that the Vols came out and backed up his bravado. Certainly is nice to have such a decisive victory under the belt to build confidence, and calm the nerves for another glorious season of SEC smashmouth football!! Tennessee 63 WKU 7 GO VOLS!!!
  4. I would appreciate any thoughts on the Humminbird RF35 portable fishfinder that you guys/gals may have. As a bank fisher, I have always wondered what was out there. And now that there is this "new" gadget I wonder how well it works. Thank you for your continued support!! RKC

    Hello

    Welcome!! Great info here!!
  6. Things that make you go "Hmmmm..." ;D ;D ;D
  7. I follow Jimmie Johnson.
  8. Catt, thanks for the info. I just had to let you know that when I went to the pond by my house last night (around 8pm) I was able to catch a 10 inch LM on a Zoom trick worm, just twitching it under the surface. I say this because according to the solunar tables the peak time for yesterday was from roughly 5pm to 8:30pm. I had only been out there for about 15 min when this happened. Knowing my luck it was just because it was dusk and that seems to be a favorable time for catching, but I'll take it!! ;D
  9. Welcome!!
  10. The on-line fishing log might be a fairly good idea, for ones own use. But, to me, what someone else has been able to do in the past may not help on the next trip, ie. weather pattern changes, when was the latest posting, etc. :-/ I think I would rather have a paper copy of my fishing trips to refer back to when I'm on the lake, or planning my next trip without having to log onto the computer and chase it down. Just my opinion.
  11. I must agree with some aspects of your complaints with BASSinsider. As a newbie basser, I thought that this being the main website for BASS, that it would be chock full of tips and techniques, how-to videos, and other useful stuff. But, I have been somewhat disappointed with their content. This website, "BassResource" far exceeds BASSinsider as the go-to site for any and all bassing information!! The one thing that I can say that I like about BASSinsider is getting the magazine, which I find helpful. I appreciate that BassResource is here, because if the info isn't in the article, or elsewhere on the site, one can always ask here at the forums and get the answers!!
  12. Thanks Catt for the fantastic explanation of the moon phases!! That was very informative, at least for me. I think that I am going to start keeping a detailed account of my fishing trips to the lake, or even the small pond next to my house, and compare my findings to the tables. Thanks again.
  13. Praise the Lord that he was able to move his arm after that hit, and that it wasn't anymore serious. Let's just hope that it was a "stinger" and that he will only be "sore" for a short time, and be able to come back to full capacity.
  14. So, I'm wondering, do biologists believe that the sun/moon phases have a physiological affect on the bass that triggers them to be more aggressive during these so-called peak solunar times? Or, are they just whistlin' Dixie?? ;D
  15. Thanks Triton and Catt for the welcome. I have absorbed so much useful info in the short time I've been on this site. I'll definitely be spending a lot of time on here.
