  3. This is a good thing your doing, Ron. Your a good man, buddy.
  4. Man, those are some nice looking fish. Great job! I managed to catch this guy out there on Sunday. Nothing compared to yours but it was fun and good to get out on the yak again.
  5. Yup, up the hill, to the left across the dam, around the bend, and into the water at the flat open area.
  6. Sweet! That's what I'm talking about. Great job guys.
  7. Nice looking fish. Great explanation on how you were fishing the top water plug.
  8. Caught this one today on a deep diving crank. This one last week on a baby brush hog.
  9. That is one nice crappie. Well done!
  10. Very nice and beating the banks at that too.
  11. Great job on your first video.
  12. Nice looking bass. I agree, a just a bit tad longer pvc will do the trick.
  13. Wow! Nice fish and on a RT Space Monkey--Love it!
  14. I always wondered why I get asked for my fishing license. : By the way, I'll make sure to tell my people to ease up on the harvesting. Now that we are on the subject. It never seems to amaze me how many times white folks and other races ask me why I don't keep my fish when I'm out fishing. Now, I get it. They are trying to trick me--stinkers! They want to put me on that list of Mexicans harvesting all the fish. No...no...no, you won't trick this little Mexican.
  15. Nice fish! I bet all those fights were pretty awesome.
  16. Yup, that would be it. There is another pond towards the back that my buddy and I would hit but the sounds of baby gators just gave me the creeps. It made it really hard to concentrate. ;D
  17. With regards to color and lure. Wacky rig, blue pearl w/silver senko or pearl Yum dingers and Zoom Super Flukes Smokin Shad has been the most productive for me when they are smacking the surface. I see you mentioned mainly bright colors. Stick with the silver with glitter or give pearl a whirl.
  18. Great looking fish.
  19. Both bases, Naval Air Station JAX and Mayport have ponds that I used to fish when I was stationed in Jax. There is a park just out side of the Mayport base that has a small lake. I caught many decent size Bass and Crappie out of there. Also, there are many spots down Heckscher Drive.
  20. Dan, did you do a day visit or did you camp out? How was the fishing? I've done both. That park is basically where I started fishing. Me and a friend used to go there a lot during the summer after high school. The campsites are nice but kind of mushed together. The fishing was decent. We caught LOTS of fish but almost all were small. Of course, that was closer to the time of the fish kills so there should be some larger fish around now. That stretch is full of big bedrock which is fun for fishing (I like throwing topwaters in those types of areas) but it makes it very difficult to wade. There is a canoe/kayak launch at one corner of the large parking lot. I would imagine a canoe or kayak would make it much more comfortable to fish. Thanks. I might have to give it a whirl.
  21. it takes mad patience. become one with the popper, give it life Indeed. But when they hit, it makes it all worth while.
